Education is a vital part of an ambitious person's life. In today's world we need knowledge to function effectively, of which higher learning is one of the solutions. There are many children and young adults who are not able to aquire a good education, due to a great lack of funds to pay the enormous expenses. College expenses are very high in many countries, cities or towns and many students are not able to enter College, while others who started are not able to finish.

Some parents are single and without any support, so find it very difficult to maintain the expenses for college, on behalf of their children. There are financial support available in many areas of the Federal Government Departments but unknown to many parents and children, so they srtugggle to achieve a good education in a most distressful way. I have done a study about financial assistance for unfortunate students, who want to succeed in aquiring a good education but have no help. There are 4 types of financial aids that can help students with tertiary education and they are: Grants, loans, scholarships and employments. The largest source of financial aid is the Federal Programs, which offer grants , loans and scholarships.

There is a vast amount of money available in billions of dollars, to help eligible students in the United States, who want to go to college. Every year over $90 million is issued to eligible students , in loans, grants and scholarships to further their education, so sufficient funds are available to help. The way to get this help is to apply to FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid) www.fafsa.gov. Students who are eligible for this help, have to be enrolled in a community college, high school, vocational school or career institute. This is also available to undocumented students ( those are students with expired documents). Eligibility depends on the students status:

a. granted asylum

b. paroled into the USA for at least 1 year.

c. Refugees

d. victims of human trafficing

e.Battered immigrants - qualified aliens and their children

f. Cuban-Haitians entrants (non -citizens who are eligible)

Qualification is proof of citizenship or permnanent residence

2. Social security card

3. Tax return - W2

4. Academic achievement (Diploma) and able to maintain a good academic standard.

5. Full time student at school

6. Has no Federal loan or refund on a Federal Grant

7. Application should be in the last year of high school.

8. Relevant documents can be given to Financial Aid Officer, who will make application available for submission, Grants will not be repaid but student, loans have to be repaid on term, which will be arranged by Financial Aid Officer, according to protocols of the government.

Parents need to seek out ways to get help for their children with great potential to succeed and allow them to fullfil their dreams. The children of today will be the leaders of tomorrow, so we need to educate them well to be good leaders. Due to the Pandemic the school system has been altered but home schooling has been a good substitute. Hope this information can make a difference for some students, who have been waiting for this.
