Seeing Past The Fog - Some Tips For You!
Sometimes there's a bunch of obstacles that get in the way and you're left with "a fog in your path" which is basically a blend of everything that could get in your way. Well, what do you do about it? Here's a few tips:
1) Get your head out of there
The best way to handle obstacles that are flying at you all at once is to become exterior to the problems. What I mean is this, take a walk and get some fresh air. Tidy up a little bit. Get some cooking done. Hang out with a friend. Do whatever it takes to take your mind off of the barriers you face. This will result in getting an outward look on what you need to tackle
2) Write down each of the problems you are running into
Another way to go about this is to document what exactly you are facing. Putting things down on paper helps one see what exactly is going on. This will help tremendously as you can then prioritize on which problems need handling first.
3) Remind yourself of your goals
What is it that you are trying to accomplish? Sometimes, it is easy to lose sight of one's goals when there are many obstacles in your way - hence the fog analogy. Imagine how hard it is to see in a fog and how you may not be able to see but you can still hear. Well, the "voice" that guides you to your destination is the goals you have set for your task or project.
4) Fish for a line
Another thing you could do is ask for help. There are many people who may have experienced what you have or something similar to it. With such valuable knowledge, you can learn from their successful actions and learn to avoid other actions that were not quite workable.
This should shed some light and bring you out of the fog!

Those were really great tips, Adrian, and I will use them tomorrow, so they came in handy in a timely fashion. Thanks muchly for that blog.
These are some things I did learn when I was employed by others. If you don't do some sort of self search like this it is easy to get lost. I get a good fog analysis this time of year as the water/air temperatures create a good fog 'Gerry' (and there has been years of debate on why it is called that here) along our river.
Whoa, that's a lovely photo! That's definitely true on the self searching! Thanks again for sharing that awesome photo and advice!
