Good day and good evening WAmily! I wanted to take a little time and tell you all about a dream I had last night.
First, let me give you some back story...
For several years now, I have had the occasional recurring dream. These dreams were never exactly the same, but all of them ended the exact same way. They would end in a fist fight. In my dreams, I have fought a wide variety of opponents; my big brother, Tom Hanks, even a kangaroo. I'm sure there's more but those are the big ones that stuck in my head.
The problem with these slumber slug fests was that, no matter how hard I tried, I could not land any good blows. It was if I was punching with concrete arms and marshmallow fists in a pool of jello.
I would wake up with the feeling of defeat and the feeling of being incomplete.
Until Last Night...
Last night, in my dream, I found myself walking into what appeared to be some sort of dentist's office. I stood at the counter for a bit, then turned to take a seat in the waiting area. That's when I saw him. It was a younger ME!
Some words were exchanged (can't remember what was said) and then Past Me threw the first punch!
Then boom!
Something erupted with my mind. I turned into some sort of Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, Muhammad Ali hybrid. Every blow was heavy and precise!
By the time it was over, Past Me was lying on the floor beaten and bashed. I have never felt so much satisfaction. I reached out to help Me to my feet, but Past Me just smiled and vanished into an almost electronic fog.
When I woke up, I knew that my mindset would forever be changed. The old me is gone. I have defeated my past fears and insecurities. I can now walk forward in life without the fear of tripping over something because I'm looking behind me, into my past.

Dreams hold a secret of power Andrew. Your recurring dream has meaning that I am in no way qualified to interpret. It seems that you've been having some form of inner struggle and now, you have become victorious in the struggle. Thanks for sharing this with us, expression can be good medicine.

Thanks Greg! It was powerful for sure. I can only speculate as to what it truly meant but I do know how it made me feel, which is often times the real truth.
