Cancel culture - taking it's roots deep in the USA

Hello, Wealthy Affiliate

it has been a very long time since I have really been active on my niches or WA.

As my article states at the start, this is all about cancel culture, but also what we can do about it.

After
attempting to take my niche to Facebook - where most of the internet's traffic is, I saw within the same *day* that either facebook does not like freedom of informantion(which I now know as of 2020 to be totally true) - or someone disliked me.
I have no idea what the case may be because I hadn't even posted anything yet, just created a page.

Being a long-time poweruser of computers and the internet, I thought I would share some insights into what we actually can do when we are cancelled, or when our online presence is being threatened.

There are a number of things we can do right off the bat to stop cancellation of our bran, our ideas or our businesses.
The first, but most costly thing I have seen is to purchase domain names that are contrary to what your niche or brand is. Let's call our imaginary brand / niche - THUMPO.
Thumpo offers merchandise based on the free expression of ideas and thoughts, promotes equality, and does not discriminate. Thumpo also promulgates the idea that all men and women are born free and should be free to share their minds, creativity and understanding of things.
Thumpo also does not promote politics.

But you get attacked because you speak about a great political leader, a very virtuous thinker, or someone who has done others no wrongs, and get shamed and removed from the platforms you've tried to share these thoughts and ideas on.

For example, tw1tter.

Let's say you wanted to share the idea to promote your brand - Thumpo, and wrote a series of articles or posts about it on tw1tter - "why Thumpo can help you in business", "the best Thumpo user ever", "What can Thumpo do for you", "Thumpo is the best thing in x way",
"Use Thumpo each day to help with x physical feature", "Natural cures with Thumpo", etc.

Tw1tter then hides, shadowbans or just outright deletes certain articles that you have wrriten because you have spoken about something that would entail freedom of thought or something that can help you.

The media would like you to believe this does not happen and is a "conspiracy theory".
But cancel culture certainly exists and is a serious issue.
What topic you are covering may not even be of issue, or addressed in the way it is cancelled -
You might not get a warning, but one day just be removed from the internet.
it just is.
You could lose your blog, your business, your bank, your job or even be jained in certain cirumstances - all because you've expressed what you think.

Take President Trump - leaving politics aside, he was cancelled from all platforms - removed from tw1tter, taken off faceb00k, and had his business and assets essentially frozen.
All because he was disliked.
He's still fighting for the ability to speak freely.
He is just one person.
Regardless of one's beliefs people should be allowed to speak freely and not be cancelled because they are not liked, by someone or an organization.
The same happened withh y0utube and faceb00k.

There's something called the Bill of Rights and the Constitution For the United States here in the US which guarantees us the freedom to speak and freedom to share information.
That is, unless it's about health, law, education, freedom, patriotism, religion, beliefs, presidents, your thoughts on a corporate entity, or thoughts on mental health or healing.
If any of those are things you speak about - you could be censored, cancelled, jailed, or removed from platforms - called out for not being licensed or certified, etc.
And that is not fair.

We should be able to share what helps us or could help others without fear of agencies intervening and saying "this is illegal" or "This is doing undue harm" or "wild conspiracy theory alleging cancel culture is false information.......".

Cancellation is very prevalent here in the US.
Being taken off social plaforms social media jail is all too real.
You speak your mind and you could suffer the consequences is the message they are sending.
"You need to work in the confines of the social structure and boundaries put in place by our community guidelines or you will be removed from the platform".

Y0utube has private videos being copyright striken even though there are no grounds for such a claim.
They also take down videos and censor search results in a very vast way as pointed out my a former engineer who worked for g00gle.
Many have their entire channel removed due to "not meeting community standards" or creating content that does not follow "community guidelines".
And people think this is okay?
I don't think that they do.
I feel like the idea of censorship and cancellation and being taken off platforms and that it's normal has been pushed by the mainstream, pushed by agencies and people with an agenda and vast wealth.
And I could go on about it, and show evidence, but that isn't the point of this article.

The point is to share that it is very real, going on constantly, and not really much has been done about it - as far as the legality or morality. of cancel culture.
The claims of why people are cancelled or what they allegedly did is not why I'm discussing this.
To share what to do is the idea.

Here are some ways to combat and prevent cancel culture.
Have you been cancelled, or wish to avoid being cancelled?

I would like to share a few websites that may help to prevent your cancellation as well as to have platforms to share your niche.

Gab.com is a great place to share about your niche, and to advertise. It's also a good place to create a page and not fear censorship or cancellation.
It's a social platform akin to a Twitter or Facebook - and also has an ad platform.

Odysee.com
is a video-sharing site on the blockchain, meaning it isn't easily censored by private interests or corporations.
It's also able to be monetized as well as being a place to backup your Youtube channel to.
Bitchute is another good one
, and the media likes to say it's a haven for right-wing conspiracy theorists.
Even if it was, what's wrong with having an outlet to discuss your ideas, thoughts, understandings, information? A lot, apparently - according to corporate interests.
Believing something not in the norm or having thoughts that do not match what you were raised to believe are "conspiracy theories". Just not believing the same as everyone else makes you a conspiracy theorist according to all of the popular social media outlets.
Having an idea contrary to popular understandings, an idea not matching the public opinion, beliefs that are not adhesive to the foundation of a corporate entity - all things youtube, facebook, google, twitter, instagram, tiktok, etc take down people's opinions, pages, thoughs, videos, etc - and destroy lives, businesses, jobs, and remove countless sites, pages, videos, tweets, feeds - all because it makes someone upset.

I know too many people - in person - to whom these things have happened to, seen too many stories, and many of them are not related or don't belong to any other "group" of thought. Just removed from the platform due to not meeting community standards or guidelines, or a personal attack.

Many, many thousands of videos and channels have been removed from Youtube and cited as breaking community standards and guidelines or copyright strikes. But like many corporate interests, Youtube takes down anything that doesn't fit in their sphere of things or doesn't meet the standards of someone on their board of investors.
This is true also on Quora where when I first started, I was belittled by a "friend" which could have tarnished my reputation, but I didn't let it get me down.

Ruffle feathers and you get taken down. Disagree with societal norms or go against the grain and *poof* - you have no account anymore.

Another way to prevent cancel culture I saw is to purchase sites / domain names that are against or contrary to your brand / niche such as "ihateyourniche.com" or "nichesucks.com" and then on top of that to create blogs, etc on those sites expressing what you already have, write about your product/service/offering.

You can do the same for the positive side of your niche.
"nichelove.com", "loveyourniche.com", "makenichegreatagain.com", etc. and also see great results.

I want to state for the record - I do not align with political affiliations, and I speak out of concern and care for the human race in general as well as from my own experience and the experiences of others.

Thanks for taking the time to read this - I really appreciate it.
If you have any additions to what I wrote, any comments, etc, feel free to share them.

I love this community and wish the best for everyone as we continue being...

Believe me, the USA isn't the only country where this is happening. Jim

Even though I disagree with Trump's actions but at the same time, you're right. He is just one person that shouldn't had been removed from all platforms and then having his assets frozen.

Well said, Justin!
