A true internationalist having led MNC subsidiaries in Nigeria, China,& Japan. Prior to this held worldwide head of Marketing positions in the USA, UK & Europe.
Now am an independent entreprenuer building online businesses (so I guess we all here have at least one thing in common!) .... while living exactly where I want to be .... in a little town named Fuengirola, on the Costa del Sol, which lies on the southern coastline of Spain! 320 days a year blue sunny skies! This was one of my lifetime dreams and goals so at least I can say one box has been ticked!
I am British; born in London too many years ago to wanna mention. Funny enough I was born in the same hospital as Prince William's children (St Mary Abbots in Paddington). I wonder if that means we can swap telephone numbers!
My parents, both passed away now, emigrated from Dublin, Eire just after WWII.
Perhaps with all this Brexit nonsense going on I should protect my EU Citizenship by taking Irish passport, which actually, as the son of 2 Irish born parents, I am fully entitled to do so. To be frank in a world becoming more and more interconnected & interdependent personally I can't make sense of all this Brexit stuff. (Whoops ... mustn't inadvertently stray into political waters!)
In addition to my BA in English, and thanks to support from 2 US based MNC's at the time, I gained fast track MBA's in International Marketing from Princeton and International Business Management from INSEAD. These helped me to be posted to Tokyo, Japan for 5 years running a US/Japanese JV company in the personal care & cosmetics sector. After that I set up a British owned JV in Qingdao, China followed as kinda far from there as one could get running two different companies in Lagos, Nigeria for almost 20 years!
I have 3 grown up sons all doing great ... and last year my first grandchild, Matilda, was born! So it's clear I'm both a "newbie" online and an "oldie" in the more traditional offline world!
I am a lifetime fan of Arsenal FC (yeah all you soccer fans out there know how frustrating an experience that is!). I have a penchant for such teams - when living in the USA in the late 1980's my NFL team was the Eagles. I still think they have never won a Superbowl ... as yet!
Actually my second son, Jono, was born in Memphis, TN ... so we have a dual citizen in the family already!
What else? I love playing Chess; I love the English Language. We lost an Empire but at least we gave the most widely spoken language to the global community - although if truth be told it is a highly "mongrel" language forever changing!
I still think the Stones & The Beatles the best ever bands, altho Queen and Guns N'Roses surely must compete for that accolade. I love horseracing and my best friend is Benni the Dog (whoops cue for an image upload.)
I have been very fortunate in my career having had the opportunities to lead subs of multinationals in Japan, China & Nigeria as well as to have enjoyed senior Marketing roles in the USA & Europe.
In terms of countries slept in at least 10 nights straight or more ..... 147!!
Have been thru 9 passports each with all 96 pages completely filled up with visa's, entry & exit stamps.
The best thing emerging from all my travels are the remarkable people of all races, creeds and cultures that I have met all over the world; worked with; and the help, support and friendship they each have given me. Truly we all live in a wonderful world regardless of the bad blobs we sometimes might bump into!

Great goals, Richard! In time, you'll want to increase the amount of hours you're working per week to achieve goals this ambitious, but for now that amount of work is a great start! The sky is the limit in this industry, so your goals are more than achievable with a lot of hard work and sticking to the training.

Good afternoon Richard,
I must say that reading your profile has left me somehow breathless. The more countries one has traveled, the more people one meets and all the cultures with its surprises, all that is one's memory treasure trove to enjoy when one gets older.
Ah, before I forget, I like the "mongrel".To all the new people I meet I say in case you need a good source for writing do have a look at my WA post on the Spanish priest and the world library, very helpful.
Thank you for the follow and good luck.
Regards, Taetske

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".
I know, same thing happened to me when I started.
I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.
Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

Hi Ian
STUCK!
I have several domain names all bought at GoDaddy. But it doesn't seem clear (and yes I am a bit "thick"!) EXACTLY what to do to set up my websites ... of course one at a time!
Is there a simple step by step instruction guide. Probably but I can't find it (told you I'm thick!)
Hope weekend is going well
Kind regards
Richard

Hey Richard — what you're looking for is the glowing "Get Started Here" button towards the top of the left navigation menu. Feel free to skip what you already know, but that'll carry you through step-by-step.
Also, I only catch up with comments/emails once a day here (fortunately I caught this one pretty quickly!). Make sure to post your questions to the community here, as long as they're somewhat basic like this one, by clicking the pen icon near the top-right corner and selecting "Ask a Question". The community here can be very, very helpful and will likely get you an answer faster that I can!
