Some reasons I've seen to stay away from free domains like dot.tk's
Ever heard of free domain names? .tk or .ga etc.
They sound like the thing to do because.... well, hello they're free. Right?
But a few things you should keep in mind are:
1) Once your site starts building traffic and gaining popularity growing a substantial amount, they will expire your account. The next time you visit it after you are feeling all happy about your success, there will be a great wall of ads and they won't be yours. Good luck doing anything about it. It may take a couple of years but it will happen. All your hardworking down the drain.
2) SEO will give you lower ranking just because you're a dot.tk
3) It's hard to get Google Adsense memberships using dot.tk
4) Security is a biggie. The best offer I've seen yet thrown in with domain names is ssl on your websites right here through Wealthy Affiliate. Example https:.. They may come up a few cents more than others but this alone is worth it's weight in gold.
