A New Beginning

As I write this post, I am contemplating a new beginning. You see, I have been self employed for many years, the last 10 plus years of which I have been in a business that I thoroughly enjoyed, the decorated apparel business. Unfortunately, all of my past injuries, most of which I received while I was playing in life, along with my age, are catching up to me and I have been forced to begin a new chapter in my life. Having been a hands on person my whole life, it just would not have worked for me to sit in an office and let someone else do the production. So here I am, anticipating a new challenge.

The new challenge that I speak of is WA. Quite a few years ago I saw the handwriting on the wall and started taking computer training in my spare time. I took a keen interest in computers and before I was through I had certifications in Web development and even Linux Administration. Even though I have forgotten much of what I learned, I still had a good foundation for what I seek to do today in becoming a successful affiliate marketer, and I can't tell you how much over the years that training that I took has helped me.

My wife and I have also owned and operated a part time photography business for the past two years, and this is what I do when I am not blogging. This has also given me the perfect niche, with what seems to be an endless flow of content possibilities. My website has been active for just over 30 days now and is receiving about 20 visitors a day on average and I expect traffic to continue to grow as I continue to promote the site.

My website is called Camergearonline and is all about photography. The vision that I have for this site is that it becomes a go to place for beginning as well as seasoned photographers for Reviews, tutorials, photo sharing,and discussion about everything photography. Future plans for the site include an ongoing photo of the month contest in which the winner's photo is posted as the photo of the month and articles and reviews written by guest authors for a different perspective.
