What is the best way to build a successful internet marketing business with a limited income and no previous experience?

My very first thought that led to this question was: How can I learn the basics of internet marketing and use that knowledge to generate enough income to invest in my growth?

It is my personal belief that people who start fresh in this business/industry eventually come across this question at some point. I think this is a great starting point for motivating new comers (such as myself). So that way they will not feel overwhelmed and give up when the learning process gets hard.
