What am I Reading, Watching, Listening to this week?
Ongoing Personal Development During Life's Journey
I started listening to Self Improvement Cassettes back in the 1980's
One of the first programmes I purchased was Tony Robbins Personal Power in 1984
Nearly 40 years later I still have it on my office shelf, unfortunately over this time 2 cassettes were lost to damage, getting chewed up in the cassette player.
This week I am listening to a live seminar given by Napoleon Hill in 1954 in Chicago, that's 4 years before I was born.
Napoleon Hill’s 17 Principles of Personal Achievement Live Lecture 1954
This lecture was given nearly 70 years ago yet the teachings are still so relevant today in 2022. It is 11 hours of pure wisdom, it may not have been aimed at society today with the internet and social media at the forefront of customer service and personal achievement training but listen deeply and you will hear many pure gold nuggets of information.
As far as my reading companion this week goes it is a book all about customer retention.
In todays fast moving online world, customer satisfaction is not enough, customer loyalty is what we need to aim for.
This book by Jeffrey Gitomer is also over 20 years old but is an absolute gem of customer retention advice.
As it say's on the cover " How to make customers love you, keep them coming back and tell everyone they know about you"
At nearly 280 pages long it will probably take me more than a week to read alongside listening to over 11 hours of Napoleon Hill but time dedicated to improving our knowledge and education is time well spent.
I find these books on Amazon, usually second hand so quite inexpensive but in my opinion the best investment we can make in ourselves.
I realise we are all here learning to make money online whether that be with affiliate marketing or any other method of online business but as someone who still operates an offline service business, customer loyalty is second to none and I believe this can carry over to our online journey too.
Have a great week in Wealthy Affiliate.

Great post, Andy. I like how these older resources from 70 years ago can still remain relevant in this day in age, especially today.

Thank you Myra, very true, we should not dismiss teachings and advice because they are old fashioned or out of date.
Very awesome, indeed, Andy!
Sometimes the "old" stuff is still the best stuff, especially in today's world!
