I won the lottery!
Is exactly what someone would say who spends thosands of dollars on tickets. I don't think they realize how extremely slim the odds are of winning the lottery and it's sad because they're being spanked out of money that could be used on something more useful. Sure living paycheck to paycheck is stressful I know this because I do it right now, but wouldn't it make more sense to use the same money you spend on the lottery to invest in yourself in a more logical way?
How about becoming an entrepreneur and exploring the possiblilites of earning $60k plus from home every year. I've seen people invest $500 in one day on lottery tickets and that same money could have built them a legit full income system online in less than 6 months......instant gratification maybe? Are people looking to strike big without having to work? I honestly believe that scratching a piece of paper and scanning powerball tickets are all some people want to do in life. The odds are WAY better to be successful online. I sit back and wonder how long it will take for them to go broke. Why?
Because as with business, most people who instantly make a lot of money don't last very long because they don't know sustain. They go all crazy and never determine the real purpose for even wanting alot of money in the first place. I happened to walk past some guys having a delightful conversation about the more expensive lottery ticket giving them a higher return and I wanted to barf. Their uneducated chit chat is what inspired this post.
Don't play the lottery. The odds of getting struck by lightening are better. Invest in yourself and do something achievable like successful starting and operating your own business. You don't need to take out a mortgage to do it, but I guarantee anyone will be successful if they put the same time and effort into an online business that they do into those wretched lottery tickets.

Great post! So true. The lottery is a complete joke! I have always wondered why people can be crazy enough to purchase a lottery ticket, while they could invest that money instead. You could invest in your personal education and development, in the formation of your own business or even in a savings account!
The temptation for instant gratification and laziness is a serious challenge that has the tendency to creep in to everyone's life. We most always be cautious and think carefully about our choices.
Be will never find the success we seek without being willing to do something about it. Work is always required to enjoy something truly worthwhile.
Those who win the lottery mostly lost everything they won because they didn't earn it and do not know the value of money. Those who build their own fortune steadily over time rarely have this problem. The value their money because they know what it takes to earn it. The experiences they had while they built their fortune will serve to ensure they have the ability to keep it.

I so agree with you Melaney and ill gotten money never lasts, but you are right, the easier it comes, the easier it goes. You also don't appreciate that kind of money because you didn't have to work for it so what value does it have? Great post!
