Persistence Rules! I've recovered my Website Content.

So yesterday I disclosed what happened with my websites and it's scrambled content. So here is what I did. Please tell me this is not going to come back to bite me? I was playing with my Computer's Health. I just couldn't let it go without a fight.

1. I did a complete system backup. Stored it on Flash drive, and (cloud just in case I needed professional help with Recovery)

2. Did a system restore point to when I last successfully accessed the sites. Did another Complete back up. (found it!!!!) pulled all my content out and saved again.

3. Did a spread sheet of every email, with date and time,

4. called my telephone service provider and got copies of my phone bills back to November when I bought the software. My phone is Microwaved through a tower and served by my own Satellite Network so it runs on data like my Internet so it records 1-800 calls even though calls are free....it's air time for me. (Like roaming but it's a hard line) logged every call into the spread sheet.

5. Pinged every path on my Phone Log within the time frame that I got the rude phone call until I found the location of the incoming call and SSID. Took a screen shot of it pinged her right to her desk. hahahaha .

6 Contacted my Satellite provider and had them send me copies of my Usage back to November, and logged my Active time and Inactive time when working with my websites links (to show the owner that I truly did make actually HUGE effort)

7. went back to Nov, the day I bought the software and spoke to it's owner ;) Pinged until I located his SSID, (Service Set ID) not entirely sure how I did it but few more steps and digging I managed to tracked down his private Cell number that he called me on!!! :) utilized one of my University Instructors fancy for me and got some help with this part. (he say's I'm gonna have a job converting files to recapture some data from my first Restore point.)

8. Made a very sweet phone call!!!! He answered, was so so hard to refrain myself from lashing out. He was extremely empathetic and think he gave me his personal email addy to humor me. Was the tone in his voice anyway. Not 5 minutes after I sent him the log. He called back with a rather sincere apology and offers to stay on. I lied my way out..well...not exactly but still not my style to fabricate reasoning.

9. Guess what's in my mailbox!!!!!!! A full refund. AND, knowledge that a lady named Celia is out of a job. That part doesn't make me happy, I'm a Mom and she could be too.

I just checked my balance. I actually have every penny I spent pending!!!! and this my Friends was my entire day since 5 am this morning I should be ecstatic but I'm not. Someone lost a job and that doesn't make me proud but "I'll take a pat on the left shoulder anyway" Note to SELF...2 wrongs, NEVER make it Right.
