Begin again. seek and you shall find
A few years ago, when my postgraduate training course was postponed by a few months, I had a little time to spare and came across Internet Marketing College. It was an invitation to a free taster session. I knew there were people out there who were making a living in an online space. Needless to say, there weren't very many 'traditional' colleges teaching you how to do business this particular way. I thought - what have I got to loose? I just sit at the back of the room, listen till the end, sleep on it and make a decision about it then. My partner did not approve...
That day was the beginning of my online business journey. I am a teacher and a project manager by profession. For one reason or another, I could not let it go... I am still learning every day. as the saying goes - the day you stop learning is the day you start stalling.
One thing is for sure, there is more than one way to get to your destination. You just need to choose your journey.
The discovery day was just that - an overview of possibilities in an online businesss space. The next thing was to work out what was doable for me in my circumstances. I was studying and working, with a husband, three children and my household to worry about. Affiliate marketing seemed an obvious place to start. I remembered the formula - something to sell, somewhere to sell from, someone to sell to... it seemed so easy! I signed up for quite a comprehensive course - all elements included. So now I had an overview - of the business models, of the business tools needed to succeed. I tried...but then had to spend more time doing the JOB and life got in the way. My business success had been postponed.
Thinking back, the main reason for that was that I KNEW ABOUT everything BUT the implementation meant jumping from one platform to another, remembering various passwords, rules etc. It all just got too much.
Then, one day not so long ago, a YouTube video of one of the Wealthy Affiliate members, Chris Myles found a way into my stream. I gave it a try. The more I learn about the system, the more I love it.
What makes it a fantastic platform for me? Well...Being a teacher I can appreciate the quality of good instruction, accountablity, feedback, and support. Those are all especially beneficial when you are learning something completely new. It feels like someone is there, looking over your shoulder making sure that you are on track. Your confidence grows as you pass another milestone. Everything you need when wanting to build a business as an affiliate is in one place, all elements are interconnected so you only need to log in to WA and follow the process and the links inside. THAT IS AN EXCELLENT SET UP and I cannot praise it highly enough. I will surely be recommending this to my friends.
I have been building my space in WA for about two weeks. Today I received feedback from three WA members on my post. They were very positive and encouraging. I cannot stop smiling. WA and all WA guys, you have made my day!
