Would you like more website comments?
Quality, stimulating, thoughtful comments.
They're something we all want and all need if we're to have a successful website.
It's likely most of us are at a stage where we've already been using the WA give and take comment thread.
A wonderful tool that helps us all get on our feet and truly provide reciprocal help to our fellow WA'ers at no cost. Unlike anything I've found elsewhere on the net.
Not only does it help us gain traffic rankings to our site, and a more credible site trust with google, it also makes us feel a sense of accomplishment that our site has interaction!
Have you been sharing the love??
The difficulty with the thread however, is it's very easy to lose track of your post request, and those that have been so kind in providing their time and energy in commenting on our posts.
Do you lose track of who has commented?
Would you like to reciprocate but can't easily find the thread again?
Did you know?..
..You can reciprocate to your comment-giver directly from your website comment page?
- If you want to ensure you've replied to your WA friends, after you have approved and replied to their comment.
- Follow the thread back to your post, then simply click on their name on their comment while in the wordpress admin mode.
- As long as they have correctly set up their avatar, their name link will take you directly to their site!
Don't leave your fellow WA'ers hanging. They've taken the time to do you a good turn, reciprocate in kind and genuinely support their efforts.
Commenting tips
True some topics can be foreign to us, and difficult to make a genuine comment on..particularly if it's something not applicable to us. But take a moment to think how you can add value.
- What do we do when stuck for conversation?? We ask questions.
- Do a quick google search to find out more about their subject.
- See what others have shared and expand or engage that comment.
Don't neglect to share the love, encourage your WA friends and help support their growth. You can actively contribute to their success as others have supported you!

Hi Yvette and that certainly gets me thinking because as thinks two then we need s good method to track everything so thanks for that post
Thank-you for sharing this appreciation. It does mean a great deal to be helped and know others care enough to be there. Thx
It's a great platform. I actually did some research in the internet to see whether other exchange systems exist for website comments, and I couldn't find one. The WA systems work great, and the willingness to assist one another is unparalleled anywhere. Thanks for your comment Wayne :)
Great post, Yvette. Working on getting more website comments and interaction with your readers here at WA is practice for doing the same with your websites. WA becomes a great training ground for developing writing techniques to help your readers interact with you. I am doing a series on this and I have posted parts 1 & 2 with part 3 coming out in a day or so. Here are the links to parts 1 & 2. Dave.

Thanks Yvette! This really is an excellent post. Very good thinking. One of my old b ball coaches used to say "use what you got to get what you want". Happy rest of Sunday to you!
