Do you know how to measure your social media marketing success?
You can start measuring success by how much value you provide without any expectation of instant or future return. Yes, it is not an easy task to track that, even on a chart or a spreadsheet, but you should make it your primary goal if you want to do well on social media. Fortunately, Wealthy Affiliate provide us with some very useful Ranking & Statistics. If you don't where to find yours, ask for help below and someone will surely come to your rescue.
Many social media marketers are now preferring influencer marketing, because they could never figure out how to make people happy on social media. While some brands are actively “social selling” and systematically over-delivering annoying adverts that block the content that people would really love to engage with, real influencers are delivering real value without expectation and measuring their success by their followers' appreciation. This is what Wealthy Affiliate is all about, and we all should be influencers within Wealthy Affiliate, and not social marketers, and keep this for outside of Wealthy Affiliate platform.
One thing that is now very much appreciated in the marketing sphere is the appearance of the “follower appreciation” which is extremely valuable.
So if you really want to rate your “social media marketing success” start with calculating how many truly valuable pieces of content you are posting, with no expectation of RIO, likes, reTweets, Share, etc..
My final words are: Just share a post that makes people happy! Common, do it now!

John - Excellent sound advice. Social media is changing and I think you have described what really counts here.
I love Social Media, I would appreciate if someone helped understand what is Influencer Marketing?
Good question Cindy. Put simply, a social marketer is someone who posts advertisements on his/her social platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.). A social influencer is someone who posts useful information, advice, etc. on their social accounts so as to gain fans and followers who are interested in his/her postings. In this way, when the day they recommend a product or service, people will seriously pay attention and follow through.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate your time taken to answer my question and I am so happy I have learnt something new today. Thank you once again.
social media marketing is forever evolving---we are at the tip of the iceberg for how much more there will be available as things change
You are quite right Davida. Years back, when I joined Twitter, I could post just about any affiliate links on my Twitter accounts and make sales directly from there. Now it is much different, I had to become a social influencer, which is not really an easy switch over.
