I'm in with both feet

I started like many here I would imagine, I tried the free trial and then wondered in going Premium would really help me build an online business. Then I went Premium, but wasn't too serious about what I'd put into this or realistic about what I expected to get out. But that all changed a little less than two weeks ago...

I was going over my WordPress dashboard to day and found a graph that clearly showed when I really got serious about WA and started to apply what I had learned thus far. That was October 23rd, 2018. What surprised me the most was that it has only been a week and some change since I started my serious journey here, and it feels like it has been a lot longer. I'm not sure if that's good or bad, but I was definetely struck by how much I had accomplished ni such a short period of time.

Since then I have built a solid WordPress website that I feel great about almost everything thus far. I have a good number of posts laying the ground work for many more to come, the niche is perfect for me (and I like wriing about it, even better!), I have set up an account with Amazon to insert ads that go along with what I am writing about (in my case it is basically survival gear), I have written a Wikipedia book to go along with one of my articles on map reading, and I have chosen a theme and am working on a pretty cool logo that I am ALMOST ready to commit to!

I made a goal of writing enough posts to provide enough content to capture and hold the attention of visitors (and have for starters), and then to write one or two per week once I have it running smoothly and I start seeing some revenue for my efforts. I plan to then roll all of the money back into the website via advertising if needed, but most importantly I am treating it as a real business that will take hard work, sweat and determination to make successful.

I guess I'll see how it turns out in the end, but for now I do have to say I was happily surprised to look back over my should in such a short period of time and see the fruit of labor. Right now it's more like a field that's been plowed, seeded and watered, but I am waiting with great anticipation to see the first signs of life and of course the eventual HARVEST!
