I don't know if you know that there is people who have ringing in the ears or not.

I have had it almost all my life. In fact I have it all the time and it never stops.

Some times its worse than other times. it never go's away! I read some place that it could

be the reason I have bad Migraines. I also read that some people have killed their self because of the ringing in the ears. I have just learned to live with it. I think that's why I can not seem to keep focus on what I am trying to do some times.

I do not know what silence sounds like. I don't think I ever will. Sometimes I seem to be hard of hearing. Any sounds in the back ground and I really have a hard time hearing people talking to me if they are not close by.

I just wanted to share this with you incase you or some one you know has the same thing.

I have asked Doctors if they have a medicine for it. They say yes, but don't seem to want to give it to me. I don't know why?

I don't have some where I can go to like a room away from all the distractions here at home. So that with the ringing in my ears and the other distractions make it hard to get my lessons done some times, but as I have always said, I will never quit!!

cheers,

William

I don't have the ringing, but I do have what sounds like high pitched static like that of a radio in-between stations.

Hope some day we can both hear normal one day!

Tinnitus can be a problem. http://www.starkey.com/call-now/tinnitus

Thanks Mike for the reply, and the link. I will check it out. Thanks.

I too have tinatus. Sometimes it is worse than other times. Luckily I do not get migraines from it. Had a hearing test and they told me I could hear just fine. I guess all the mumbling is me not being able to hear the words for the ringing. In my case I believe it has to do with allergies. Have you tried allergy meds? There are many over the counter brands. Clariton has worked the best for me. I also use white noise to distract me from the ringing. Right now I am playing quiet music in the background. It is worse at night. I hope you get relief from your pain.
Have you gone to a specialist. Ear, Nose, Throat Doctor.
Best wishes
Linda

Thank you Linda, Sorry to hear you have the ringing too. It has been years that I had to see a ent. I am thinking of finding another. Thanks.

My best friend has this problem and it never stops, it just has varying degrees of ringing.

It is a terrible thing and with migraines must be awful.

It takes a very strong person to continue to live your life and strive to make changes for the better. You are a strong person William.

Good luck.
Sharon

Thank you Sharon. I have no choice but to put up with it. I hope I'll find a cure some day. Hope your friend finds relief too.

Tinnitus is a vexing problem to be sure. I suspect that the etiology will turn out to be multifactorial so that treatment is sometimes difficult. Consult another MD if you are not satisfied with the answers you are getting. Best of luck.

Thank you. Hope things are going great for you today.

William,
For many years I had killer migraines.. About 5 years ago, the migraines suddenly stopped and I started having ringing in the ears.. vertigo.. and several other symptoms. After suffering for 3 years seeing several different doctors.. it was finally diagnosed as Menieres Disease. I have ringing in the ear all the time now!
The doctor told me that about 90% of patients who suffer from migraines get this disease. Go to a ear, nose and throat doctor and ask for the test. It is painless and can maybe give you the answers you seek.
Good Luck,
Kathi

Hi Kathi, Thank for telling me about your trouble with your ringing in the ears and your Migraines. It is nice of you. I have talked to several doctors but they don't do anything. Its like they are afraid to give me anything. I will keep looking to find a ear, nose and throat doctor at the clinic I go to like you said. Thank you.

william

Yes, it is your best option.. they seem to not know a lot about this..(not saying you have it) so general practitioners don't like to diagnosis. The only way to be sure is the specialist.
I wish you only the best!
Kathi

Thank you Kathi, I will .

I used to suffer from ringing in my ears for years. I spent years working in a ship's engine room and that's what caused the ringing, according to the doctors I see. Medicine did not help and its was really very distressing, especially when I stepped into a very quiet room. That was some 20 odd years ago. I remembered going for acupuncture treatment and eventually the ringing stopped and it has not come back again. I am now 65.

Thank you for sharing this. I am glad you don't have it now1

Hello William,

This has to be one of the top most challenges ever! I do know what the ringing sounds like as it happens to me only periodically and for a very short duration like maybe 5 or ten minutes.
Tinnitus is something that is being studied. In a few countries they experimented with Low Level Laser to see if there was any benefits. Some did get noticeable results. Taking natural remedies also helped.

My mother in law is going through the same and she says that it never stops. She says that she just lives with it.

William you described it so accurately. I really think that you have a very natural and effective writing skill. Your message would encourage so many people who are suffering out there. Because of your ability to express yourself so well could reach and save someone's life. I think this could be a niche for helping others. Maybe you could start a support group.

I really can feel your pain as I read your post.

I like your style of writing, William.

Jen

Thank you Jen. I just tell the truth and I try to write it as best I can.
If I try to write something and I don't think I am using the right words to best describes what I am trying to say I change it. I am saying the same message, but using different words. I thank you for your support. It means a lot to have some one who knows as much as you do about People, and this type of work we are trying
to do. I am thinking about what you said about using the ringing
of the ears as a niche. What would you think I would have to do?
Just do all the research I can about it again, because I know there
is more out there than I found years ago?
What kind of product would I promote? If I don't have a product to promote, how would I make money. Remember now, you are talking to some one who has not finished his first site yet! I have not done it because I planed to change it to another niche altogether. I look forward to hearing from you again, but don't let me be a pest. You get back to me when you have some spare time and not holding up your own work. Thanks!
cheers,
william
