Three $4,000+ months in a row!

For three months straight, I have earned more than $4,000 per month through my online writing, websites, and affiliate marketing.

My 400 articles on eHow.com provide a large portion of each month's earnings, affiliate sales via Commission Junction, Amazon and Clickbank add add a good chunk, and Google Adsense as well as several smaller affiliate programs (including WealthyAffiliate) round out my sources of online income.

My totals are as follows:

• November 2010:      $5,826.31
  
• December 2010:      $5,005.22
• January 2011:           $4,405.35

The slight downward trend since November doesn't concern me, as November and the first half of December represent the best six weeks of the year for me every year earnings-wise.I actually expected January to be closer to the $3k range and was pleasantly surprised that  I broke $4k.

November was the first month in my life that I broke the elusive $5k barrier for a month's earnings -- and not just online. I never made that much while working in my short-lived post-college newspaper staff writer/editorial assistant career. 

It never ceases to amaze me that I can make a full-time income while working very part-time from home, where my time is spent primarily with my children and tending to the household. My writing and marketing time is somewhat limited -- I wake up at 5 am three days a week to write and work on my sites,  get a little work done in the evenings sometimes and always take off Sundays as a family day.

Wealthy Affiliate (which I joined in June 2010) has certainly helped me to bring my earnings to a higher level. Before I joined WA, I earned about $2k+/- a month, with my highest month clocking in at about $3k for December 2009.

Previously, I had not worked enough to grow my affiliate sales. Now, I am  focusing a lot of my energy on two niche sites, one of which sells a physical product via Commission Junction and the other that promotes an ebook from clickbank as well as displaying Adsense.

I write virtually all of my own content and do not have a VA (virtual assistant). I do my own posting, website setup, WordPress blogging and the like.

If I can accomplish this as a work at home mom with several young children, I truly think anyone can with enough effort and the right tools -- starting with WealthyAffiliate.
