I need content on my page before it goes on the internet? Right? More than just a domain name or web name? I`m scared?

Hello. My question is, Is the Key Word setting in the All In One SEO suppose to be in "disable"?

You can leave it disabled it is how Kyle teaches or you can enable it and add keywords if you wish as long as the fit the theme of your site it is up to you.

Hi Maddy55, I finally got 3 pages? I just reread our last com. Thank you.

Good show! Those first three pages are the hardest, after that everything flows better. I have been working so hard at this that I have been dreaming about things like keywords, affiliates, links that I often have a terrible night! I wish I could just shut off my brain! I now have 16-18 pages, I've lost count! My last two are pages that I hope will be used a lot to make money for me! If you love dogs, check out my website at www.raising-a-good-dog.com. It's live now.

Think of it this way when you add content, if you were browsing the Internet, would you want to read it? What do you like reading about and what do you like talking about? Use that to find out what to write about. Google is not really going to show your Website until you have got lots of content. The Search Engines are just going to skip over your website unless you build up the content and use the right keywords etc. When you are ready to type in your content (what you want to write about), save it in Draft mode so no one can read it except you until you are ready. That is what I do. Worden, you HAVE to go through the Certification Courses. Maybe first just read through Course One without doing any of the construction of your website. Then start again, this time actually doing the lessons like getting a Domain, picking your Niche (what you are going to write about) then pick your Theme and so on. I had the worst trouble picking a Theme but I finally picked one that I think I'm going to stick with yesterday. I had already put some content in the other two Themes that I tried. I browsed various Internet sites and checked out various Demos of different Themes to get a feel for what I wanted my website to look like. I have to tell you, Word Press is not easy. I made a website with Weebly and that was very easy. However, I am here on WA for more training and I want to learn how to make a WordPress website that is a little more involved. I chose Weaver Extreme. They actually have their own support too and have three settings, beginner, intermediate and Advanced. I chose Intermediate because I want the challenge. I suggest you stick with a simple Theme with very few 'bells and whistles'. Again, you HAVE TO READ AND GO THROUGH THE COURSE.

Hi Maddy55, I was bourn in 1955! Great year! Thank you for the awesome advise. I will follow your advise. I do not want to star and be going back and forth changing content. Takes to much time. I will study the videos , make my web content on paper and then, add to web pages. Great advise, You just saved me a lot of time. I just started another part time job, so I`m grabbing 1 or 2 hours for wa. Your the best, and thank you for your time.

Hi Worden. I am 55 born in 1961, I have been out of work all winter so I have lots of time to work on WA. I own a small kennel business that I used to operate all year but with 2 damaged knees, I shut the kennel business down for the winters now. I will be reopening it at the end of March but I think this will be my last year. My husband still works full time and he is over 65 now. I hope to get some income from my website. I have been working on it like crazy lately. Out of 12 pages that I have created, I have finished 10 pages! However, I have so much to write about, I may add 2 more pages.... I am making a website about raising and training dogs, which is my passion.
Regarding content, you don't have to write your content down on paper, as you follow your lessons, you will learn how to make pages. On the pages, you will have a choice on the right side of the editing page to save it in Draft mode or to Publish it live for others to see. My basic website and menus are all in the live Publish mode but when I add content, I always save in Draft. I don't want anyone to see my stuff until I am done :) It will make more sense as you go through the lessons. Once my website is done, I will go through all the pages and use the Publish button to make it all "alive' for the Internet.

Thank you Catwoman! I am looking at plug ins and I`am lost. I`ll be back tonight at 10pm, green Bay, WI time. Thank you!

Don't worry, just keep following the lessons and your site will be full of info before you know it. It will be ranked when you start adding helpful content. Remember everyone here started with a blank page.:)
