I am at the point in the training where I need to post a blog....Say What?!?!

I enjoy reading them but I don't want to put something out in the open for others to read on WA (are you kidding me).

OK, well here we go. First thing is to get a cover image...I typed in "Funny" and well that's what I got. It actually made me laugh out loud because I have done this in the past (Okay, more than once. Sometimes to see other people’s reaction).

Normally when people ask me what I do I make up something to the effect of, I work in facilities, or I clean up the trash on the streets, or something like that. Well, I'll throw it out there; I'm actually a Police Officer. Yes, I know most people don't like us until you need us. Not to mention, we are actually fun and crazy people.

Now that my ranking is going to slip...let me continue.

Progress with WA so far has been a lot of fun. Like many others, I'm realizing, we've done this sort of thing in the past and it hasn't gone anywhere or was a scam. WA is anything but. I have enjoyed being part of this community and would love for it to take off at some point. I enjoy my job but working 12 hour shifts (and way to much overtime), family life has been slipping.

I've decided to take my own advice and start looking for a 'side hustle' or whatever you want to call it. I enjoy helping others and look forward to being able to do that here. The niche that I wanted to do was travel (but maybe at a later time) and then realized most of the guys at work talk to me about gear and first aid equipment. So naturally I decided to focus my niche on that.

I'm proud to have my first website up (I might have started another one for fun too). I just need to get better at putting out more content...but we all need to start somewhere. There have been a lot of setbacks over here (if you watch the news there are fires, power outages, etc where I'm located and that creates a lot of work for us...dang looters).

Anyway, today is a new day and time to get back at it. I have decided that I want to put up new content on my website every week (or one a week). Also, keep commenting and learning on WA on the other days.

First blog done? I guess, if you've read this far that's pretty cool...sometimes I just ramble. My goal was to keep it under 500 words, so that's a score!
