Week 13 Update - I Finally Left My Day Job!

The title says it all. I finally left my day job. I worked at a daycare and something happened to make me say, "enough is enough." Fortunately, I still live at home but I'm at a point where my online work makes me comfortable enough to do it.

Now that I'm completely on my own as far as income is concerned, I can finally put my all back into my online business. Affiliate marketing is not the only way I'm working on my income right now, I also have an online job as an independent contractor. My goal is still to make affiliate marketing my sole source of income one day.

I've stopped working so much with engagement groups (I wrote a post about that on my website). Not saying they don't have some benefits, but they also have a lot of cons as well. I'm working on getting my content together so I can build organic (free) traffic without putting a lot of work and not getting it reciprocated on my own website. I'd rather take that energy and engage in blogs that actually interest me and could do something for my readers.

I haven't been too active because I happened to get strep and an ear infection this week, a goodbye present from my daycare job. As I write this I'm feeling weak and woozy. Next week my goal is to update all my websites and generate some comments on the posts. I also want to get better at my other online job.

Even without my being active, I've been successful. I've made a couple more small Amazon sales and my websites have been accepted to Skimlinks! Now I can include affiliate links from tons of companies without having to apply to each one. I'm excited.

And...despite my yearly illness that always comes around this time, I LOVE FALL!! And I'm excited about this week's blog posts. I was going to type them up now, but after writing this (lol) I'm beat. So, now I have to rest again. It's Sunday anyway.
