Sociable may break website
FYI, I installed sociable on my website and it broke it. I was able to uninstall it and fix the problem. I just wanted to let you know. I installed Add to Any and it works fine. I think the new WordPress update may be wreaking a little more havoc.

I had the same problem before. I installed Sociable following OEC training's instructions and it sabotage my website too. So I asked the community how to solve it. @ChrystopherJ suggested me install Sassy instead, which I found very useful and popular around the online world.
He explained that because Sociable has not been updated for years, its program may not be fit in our websites' HTML, causing the unexpected problems.

As Henry mentioned, the training is out of date regarding the Sociable plugin as it has not been updated for over 7 years. The issue isn’t with the WordPress 5.5 update, it is with the developers of the plugin who have abandoned it. Sassy Social Share and Add to Any are good alternatives :-)
