What the Points Here at WA Mean to Me.

I've noticed some people write about the points and ranking system here at WA and I decided to give my opinion.
I love them!
Now let me start off by saying that I was never a 'popular' kid in school.
We moved several times so I went to a variety of schools.
Big schools and small schools.
Schools in the city and in small towns too.
I was never athletic and was usually one of the last picked for teams when classmates chose who they wanted for their teams.
Back when they had those athletic tests here in Canada and then gave badges according to your performance, I never got Gold or Silver or even Bronze but instead got to take home a the Participation badge which was the lowest level of badge.
In academic courses I was a solid C student so there definitely wasn't any time on any Honor Roll!

Anyway, the long and short of it is that I am an expert at being fairly good at most things :)
Fast forward to now....
I've been with WA for just under a month now and at first I had no clue about the points.
Then I realized that when I commented on other people's blogs or Kyle's training that my points changed a little.
Then I took a deep breathe and wrote my first blog a couple of weeks ago and my points took a bigger dip.
I was hooked!
Now I write as much as possible and am quick to comment when people leave comments for me and in 28 days, I have gone from 150,000ish in rank to 316!
What is far more important, however, is the connections that I've made with other WA members.
It's awesome and by making friends here I have more people to turn to when I need help with things here.
I love the point system here and hope to one day be an Ambassador here at WA.
It will be like being on the Honor Roll finally.
Which is great even if it took me 43 years to get there.
Thanks for reading my blog today and if you're new here at WA, welcome to a wonderful community!
