Google Emails and Phone Number Links
I came across an interesting story in Engadget, written by Mariella Moon. For those not familiar with Engadget, they are an online source for consumer technology reviews and news. It seems that Google has just rolled out and update that gives its mail apps the ability to turn addresses, phone numbers and email addresses into hyperlinks. Yes, that's correct. I think that's a pretty cool and useful update for most of us who are used to having to copy and paste the address on Maps and other applications. As Mariella points out, with this new feature you can click addresses and look them up directly on Google Maps, email addresses to automatically open your default mail apps compose window and phone numbers to start a call on your default phone app if you are on mobile.
According to the article addresses and phone numbers will appear as hyperlinks whether you are using Android or IOS on mobile or the web on your PC. While you may not be able to make calls, you can launch Google Maps or perhaps start another email on your PC with simply a single click.
Engadget says that they have tested the feature and it appears to now be active. It does have a caveat that says if you try it and it doesn't work then be patient because Google has said it may take up to three days to roll it out completely.
I did a search on Google Suite and found an update dated 9/18/2017 explaining this update that was effective this Monday.
Addresses, phone numbers, and contacts now converted to links in Gmail and Inbox to save users time.

There is do much to keep up with...always appreciate your information. This feature sounds like something I'll be able to use. Pretty soon our life will just be a series of clicks! Oh No!
