Put the line in the water!

In our church service today, our pastor's used a quote that made me think not only about today's special Easter message, but to our work here at WA, and to life in general. Our dreams and goals kind of depend on it.
The quote is... “In order to catch fish you must first put your line in the water.”
I'm not a fisherman (although I plan to be in my retirement years), but that seems to make some very good sense, and it brings about some connections to my success and to the success of every entrepreneur.

Reviewing this quote brings a few thoughts to mind:
- In order to complete any task you must first start. Starting a task, when it may seem hard or unfamiliar to begin with, is often the hardest part, yet it is necessary to achieve your goals.
- Getting off to a good start means knowing the basics. Before you begin something important involves having a plan. Another quote comes to mind; “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” However, here we are blessed in that WA has done this for us.
- The first step is the most important one. It is the first step that gets you moving. It gives you the encouragement that you that you can do it. It helps you get momentum, and each step makes the next step available.
- Any endeavor that needs to get done means first taking action. Nothing worthwhile gets accomplished without taking some action. Proverbs 12:24 states:”Work hard and become a leader, be lazy and become a slave.”
Something to think about,
Randy
