Plan C, My Game changer on WA!
Hey buddies, I cannot even start trying to explain why?
I thought I was a good time manager! Of course I still believe I am only that....
For as many of us here at WA who are still juggling office work and WA, we at times want to curse the clock.
But you know what? I just came to terms that I have to restrategize because, Mr clock is so proud! Can you imagine that as I looked at my full in tray from Monday he never even winked! He just kept on, tick-tock, tick-tock and Alas!
What's my plan C?
You notice I skipped Plan B, right?
Plan B just disappointed me too. I have been coming back home very tired, and then I promise myself to faithfully submit to my plan B which was to at least sacrifice and do a blog daily but I couldn't. Now I have skipped him and taken up my newest buddy on the block. At least for a week, lets see how this one copes.
What has Plan C to offer?
Well, I had a meeting with myself and had to draw a new commitment. This was to counter Plan B and is target oriented. It came in handy while I was revising my hand scribbled notes from my lessons. And here I was....
How do you succeed on WA in terms of content creation and publishing? I had to enlarge my scope since it was not all about that. It had to take care of keywords, research on the topic, drafting, typing, editing to include relevant photos etc.
And here is what I had to pinch myself since I had actually drafted them carefully with reminders too...
My hidden treasure
- Goal setting - It is official that as a writer, you cannot do everything at once therefore; Set yourself strict daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals and remember to be loyal to them. Ensure you follow the list created and don't add anything to it, it does harm than gain.
- Doing it even if you hate it - Sometimes when you look out for the keywords, they are just boring to write about. Hello, no pain no gain! So do it, remember than in business, you wear many hats and it makes you better as you learn a lot about your niche.
- Set time limits for your tasks - This is the most challenging part of upcoming writers like me. You know what? our brains have been created in such a way that you need to focus for optimum results. Look, just learn one day at a time to set aside 30-60minutes just for your topic and write. This is justice to yourself and your website visitors. So during this time, please; no social media, no picking phone calls, no side catting etc. A specific calm place would really help.
- Ignore your Multitasking role - This is the worst cast I took up for the next movie. Unfortunately it does not apply to a writer. Do you know that it was published by Kyle here on WA during one of the training that the biggest failures and insufficient people are pretenders of multitasking? Strictly focus as highlighted in 3 above and you will succeed. You better start closing those extra tabs on your window, it is a perfect example of a multitasker's window.
- Work your butt off - You have not put in enough effort on that niche website, that stagnated training level here at WA and that dormant website that you updated 3,5,7,14,21,28,30days ago. Your visitors might assume otherwise. Hello, make more effort, it leads to success in the online business.
