Starting Out at WA

Well, this is basically how I got to find out about WA and the experience I have had so far as a beginner.
Before Joining WA
I have always thought of online marketing as something that is exclusive for computer geeks. In fact, whenever I saw opportunities for being part of online marketing, I would immediately turn them down. My assumptions were:

1. It is definitely too complicated for someone like me who has only basic computer knowledge.
2. Only the 'lucky' ones get to succeed.
3. I have no clue where to start or what to do or how to do it....

The reasons not to get involved were endless and to make it worse, there are billions of people out there making me feel insignificant.
That was before I started writing in Street Articles and got to hear about Wealthy Affiliate.
Joining Wealthy Affiliate
I got an email from Street Articles inviting me to join WA. I thought, "Well, why not just take a look and see..."
Reading through the welcome message of WA, I was amazed. Everything changed about my thinking on online marketing:

1. I can actually get training to learn on how to do this stuff.
2. It is not about 'luck' but work - there are strategies and particular techniques that work.
3. WA gives you a step by step process to help you learn (without this I might have just called it quits)

The reasons to actually get involved are so many and to make it better WA helps you make your website (OMG! I have had so many ideas for a website).
My Status at WA
Well, I have so far chatted with so many people. I have learned about so many varieties of jobs that people do. I have progressed a bit slowly on the certification program (I want the lessons to sink in deeply. Did somebody say slow learner?)
People actually talk to you, not just liking your comments (Gosh! this is better than Facebook). I like talking to guys at WA, they have a sense of purpose and a feel of community. Thumbs up!
Am soon gonna be big in online stuff. Taking it one step at a time.
