Amazon upset me
Hello everyone!
I have discouraged a little bit today. Yesterday I received the following letter:
"Hello,
Thanks again for joining the Amazon Associates program. We’re reaching out to you because we have not seen sales activity on your account.
At the time your application was submitted, you were given access to Associates Central and the link building tools located there. However, we haven’t recorded a referral from your account yet.
Associate accounts that have not referred a sale to Amazon.com within 180 days of sign-up will be automatically rejected. However, if your account is automatically rejected, you will be welcome to re-apply to the program in the future"... etc
I have the prominent links, banner and I'm busy with a shop. They are created on my current account if I'll lose it I'll lose a half site
Maybe someone have an idea how I get referrals?
Maybe someone of you have been wanting to create an account on Amazon?
I am 4 months Premium, all this time I was every day I was engaged in the WA activity and
in spite of this I do not have enough traffic.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Olga & Outfit for Bride

I'll feel better now. Thak you all!
Is it possible to add to the Pinterest one Amazon's link or API instead of adding a personal link to each image?
You could try but Pinterest has been stripping out affiliate links, especially Amazon links. From an SEO perspective, you will get more out of linking to your own site.
Hey Olga,
Create several book reviews on your website about books from Amazon that are related to weddings. The review will link out with your Amazon affiliate id for sales of those books. Make sure they're books that are fairly cheap, like $2.99 or less.
Then, pin the review onto Pinterest and other social media. If you are allowed to post to group boards in Pinterest that is even better as it will get more people to see it.
Also, the suggestion about signing up for ViralWoot from @raymondphil is a good one. Place the pin in there and you will get likes and repins.
The commissions you get from any sale of the book will be very small but you will get credit for the sale and keep your account active.
One caveat, do not copy the reviews of other Amazon reviewers as they are copyrighted. Many people are not aware of that. You can summarize the reviews in your own words.
Best Regards,
Jim
Thank you for your advices! I was planning to add books in the future, but it is impossible to carry out all the plans immediately. :)
Are you at least seeing clicks on Amazon? I haven't made a sale yet, but I didn't get that message either. Now you have me sweating!
How long ago did you sign up? I'm wondering if they send it out if you have under a specified number of clicks or if it's based on time. I'm getting more clicks than that, but still no sales.
I think the pinterest suggestion made by other members makes sense. Why not sign up for a free account at viralwoot.com to boost your pinterest efforts.
BTW your site looks good!
Why don't you use each others links to buy something small - say$5. That way, you will both have sales activity on your accounts and maybe your accounts will not get rejected. Just a suggestion
That's not a bad idea. I even just wrote a new blog asking why we don't have an affiliate link pay if forward thread. Not for blatant promotion, but to at least help newbies get a small sale so their account isn't closed. We all buy from Amazon already anyway.
Why not an Affiliate Link Share Pay It Forward Thread
I agree with Chris. Get on social media and talk up your site - not aggressively, and not overdone, be SOCIAL and helpful, but also ask the ladies to please take a look at your site to "get their feedback" - that sort of thing.
I got the same warning from Amazon, btw, so you are not alone. My site is getting traffic now, but I'm still sweating the sales coming in.
Ok here is what you should do in my opinion:
I see your site is about bridal gowns right? If so I suggest you spend a lot of time on Pinterest this coming weeks.
Pinterest is great for female customers and I'm sure you'll do great on there.
Also Facebook ads might be good. You can target peole that are getting married soon.
You just have to get the customers to Amazon. They do not need to buy a bridal gown.
Anything they buy from your link, you'll gt credit for.
These are ways you can get quality traffic quickly so you don't lose your account.
I wish you luch and I hope this helped.
Chris Lee
Thank you, Chris! I'll add my own link to every image on Pinterest, which allows it. All the best to you!
