I'm Pulling My Hair Out
Today I had planned an easy day. I wanted to blog about having 30 days in as a Premium Member. I went premium just before the buzzer on the half price deal.
I have been trying to get Adsense on my site. Used the Google AdSense plug in. No matter what I did, nothing. The account's approved, the theme is compatible,(their words) still Nothing.
So I just took the advice of MarionBlack, thank you so much for your video, and did them manually with text widgets.
That wasn't the end. As I was trying to make the Plugin work, I went ahead and clicked on a theme update. Bam, everything changed. An hour figuring out what to do. Had to change (redo) all the settings in my social sharing plugin.
Back to my progress report
So, I have completed Level 4. I have 12 posts, one got to 1st place on Google, yes #1 page 1. I rank 484 here, I have approval from LinkShare including Wal-mart, and I feel good. And, I joined Jaaxy. (what a deal)
But...The best part, I have met some really, really great people. I am not social. I don't make friends. I have neighbors I don't know.
I am nice, polite and treat everybody like I want to be treated. I'm just not social. I talk to everybody when I'm out. At the store, where ever, I just don't make them friends.
Here it's different. I really think people here are a lot like me. When they smile, they mean it. When they say, have a great day, they mean it. When they say how can i help? They mean it.
I learned all this in just 30 days. Can you imagine what 3 months, or 6 months, or a year will look like?
I'm not social but I'm here just like you. I'll answer the emails, I'll comment on your posts and review your sites. If I know an answer, I'll offer it. Thanks for doing the same.

Great, you make an effort to write and keep us all get connected. Yes most people, me included. don't like to social themselves. Think it alright that way as long as you ar happy.
I can't believe you are giving yourself such a hard time!!! Considering all the blogs and outreach you've done...isn't that being social? Being a "Hey, how's it going?" kind of person is representative of only one kind of social. Your "social" is the meaningful one. =)
I'm glad you got the adsense issue sorted! I remember having trouble setting it up at first... And then I got to the stage where I had to verify my location, but the code to confirm verification never came to my door... I tried it as many times as it would let me, but it never came. As a result, my adsense was nearly down for a year! However, they just let me prove my location by showing papers etc. so finally I'm back with them now. I know the struggle of getting Adsense to work lol!
I'm really glad that you're enjoying yourself at the WA community; I must agree, I'm not the most social guy in real life either, but on WA it's a totally different picture, as everyone is so friendly and helpful!

Robert, I believe you may be more social than you think. You don't have to be an extrovert to be social; just sociable.
My Google says: willing to talk and engage in activities with other people; friendly, affable, amiable, warm, etc. What more would you want?
