When i felt like giving up

When I was young around about 4 or 5 years old , I started going to elementrary school , Mark Twain Acadedmy , on the sourthwest side of Detroit . Throughout my entire elementrary school years people talked about me , how black and ugly I was and why we don't look the same . My Grandmother use to always tell me , and I quote (girl just tell them black is beautiful) and I said to myself "I thought that too" , now I'm feeling really empty inside , not only I was talked about . I didn't have any friends to talked to either . what a sad little lost girl I was back then . Growing up without any friends to share my thoughts with , was pure torture if you ask me but now that I am grown I have family , I have a community , I have DREAMS ! And my dreams are coming to reality . It is a true honor to be here today thank you Wealthy Affiliates for allowing me share my story .
