Never give up!
With my wife we traveled to 74 countries. And many of these countries we visited more than once. After almost 30 years of traveling, we decided that we earned the right to advise other people on international travel. Being a fiction writer (four books published, three in Russian, one in English), I was sure it wouldn’t be complicated to create a successful website/blog and start earning some money.
After two years of hard work, our site did not get any traction. Amazon kicked us out from their affiliate program because we could not sell any travel necessities. We replaced our previous theme with more expensive theme Divi and renamed our site, and that transition took a lot of time (Divi is not an easy program).
Before we started our travel website, we knew that almost everybody loves to travel and the competition between travel bloggers is fierce. Nevertheless, we decided to choose that venue because we are passionate about traveling and writing about trips to other countries. I am almost sure that if we started writing about something else, we would give up.
Despite the lack of progress, we do not despair. We continue and will continue learning from WA members, working on writing new posts, expanding our presence in FaceBook, Twitter, Pinterest, and other social media. We’ll never give up!
