Log onto YouTube, find the video you want and then, below the video, click on "Share" ...

You will automatically have a highlighted link appear, which you can copy and paste into your post if all you want to do is link a word or phrase with the external link out from your post to the video on Youtube.

But that isn't what we are doing in this tutorial, we want to have the video be hosted, and played, right on our site. For that, we need to have the html embed code, which you get by clicking on "Embed" (see same image above), which will then give you the highlighted code as follows:

Now simply copy the code, go back to your post, and paste it in the desired place, like this:

Done! Now on the next page we will view how the video looks on the page, and i will show you how to resize it if you want to.

Excellent training for me because I am about to add a blog and wanted to add a youtube video. I am new to this but understand your instructions thoroughly. I have only one question, are we authorized to use any youtube video?

Thanks, Sheden, and yes you can use any video that is posted on YouTube in "Public" view status. The video automatically gives credits to the author/owner/producer, so there is no need to list credits, and in fact the author will most likely be glad to see his/her video being posted around on other sites, because that is all the more exposure, And when someone watches the video on your site, it still gives credit to the number of "views" the video has had on YouTube. So it is really a win-win.

Videos posted to Youtube for "Private" viewers, you will not be able to see listed anyway, unless you belong to the group who the video is privately intended. So if you can see it, you can use it.

Thanks for the answer but especially for the complete explanations of it. I like to know why I need to do what I need to do and you gave it. I have to pick and choose which blogs to read and yours will definitely be one of them.

Yes I am, been scammed for so many years and feel that "FINALLY" I have found the one that will help me to really succeed. Then with people like you helping, I can't go wrong. I do have my site up http://www.realfreehomebusiness.com. If you get time, would you check it out? I just started on it 23 December 2014. I am still in Bootcamp and know I have work to do but would appreciate your evaluation. Thank you.
