Pages vs Posts - a quick Explanation
There are no "set in stone" rules about how to setup your website, but we recommend setting up the main framework of your site using "pages". Pages are found on your website using url's like this:
In the previous step of this tutorial you set your front page to be a "Static Page" called "Home", and chose for your blog posts to be contained within your "Blog" page. Doing this gives you full control over what content is on your homepage. It also allows you to easily make up your CORE set of pages on the site that you want people to focus on.
A home page, about me, contact, privacy policy etc. These pages give your site a framework that is general for all audiences who visit your website.
With your "blog", you can now create niche specific pages that focus on those specific audiences. In many cases the blog posts that you create will linked to from your articles (or ads) as they are specific to certain keywords and audiences. This is not to say that you cannot use "Pages" for your niche specific content, but blogging about it offers you the ability to categorize the content.
Again, there is no right or wrong with setting up your website but this is ONE explanation of how you can structure your website.
