As you begin considering who your specific audience would be, it’s normal to first figure out how specific you will need this. You’ve been very certain that you want to reach beyond the fundamentals, but how specifically niche-oriented must your audience be?
We all strongly believe in the ability to grow a niche audience. You’ll do better focusing on a specific category of people you want to attract rather than making the frantic effort to attract the generality. This is how several struggling veteran bloggers made horrible mistakes right from the onset which most times lead to giving up or quitting completely.
You may be excited seeing your list grow from day to day, but are most of these subscribers ideal members of your audience? Do they really belong to your genuine customer profile? If you’re not actually growing a subscriber base full of your ideal target audience, then you’re probably nurturing a whole list full of people that wouldn’t clamor for the products and services you’re offering.
This is why I strongly suggest growing a specific audience right from the onset.
If you just want to be everything everywhere, being there for everyone, this won’t take you far in the online community. But if you’re still not sure whether you should be targeting a specific audience or not, I’ve highlighted a couple of reasons building a specialty audience might be a great fit for your online marketing goal.
Thanks a lot for sharing, Israel!
Wish you much success!
