How do I Monetize my Website?

Unless you are doing all this work for the love of it, then you will want to start earning some income eventually. This can come in several forms. Firstly, you will join some affiliate programs to earn a commission on any products people buy from your website. It doesn’t cost you anything to join a company to promote their products and some pay a high commission. Also, there are products where you will earn a recurring commission every month!

Then once you are getting around 5000 pageviews a month you can apply to a few platforms where you can be paid for people clicking through to your website. It’s a little more complex than this but suffices to say, it’s a great income for all the hard work you have done in the past

Conclusion

The best way to view starting a blog is to see it as a journey to a more secure financial future. Know that it could take between 2 and 5 years to create a solid income and that you need to learn a lot of new ideas along the way. When you consider all the schooling that you did and training to do the job you do now. Investing time in your future and learning to earn along the way will reap huge benefits for you if you juststick at it.

Be your own cheer squad, invest $50 a month in learning new skills, and be supported for life by a community that will be with you all the way.

Enjoy my friends.

This was quite helpful! I have a niche. It’s the desire to be cleaver and savvy so as to attract thousand of followers immediately !
In other words, there are so many ideas running through my brain, I can’t seem to quiet them down and be ok about just getting started. Geez!

I know the feeling Annie. Grab the niche that you have lots to say about. Lol.

I was the same way and in the end may have made the wrong choice. It doesn't matter, I can make it work for me. It just takes more research than something I knew about.

Very nice, Lily. Thank you, as I sometimes have that nagging feeling like I'm really interested in something else.
But while watching Jay, I think he "follows" the money.

That would be a good thing for more of us to learn how to do, right? Yes, and certainly you could like it for what it brings if you go all in, do your best and make that even better.

Hi Suzay, I know what you mean. Do you choose a niche because you are interested in it even if you won't be able to monetize your posts?

I think we have to ask ourselves why we are creating a website, once we know that then this question is easier to answer.

Lovely to see you here my friend.

I've been thinking about becoming a writer for many years but I never got past the questions of "what would I write about? " and all the negative thoughts about " What do I know and who would listen to me anyways?" But since I became interested in Affiliate Marketing I learned ways to find that Niche and now that I have found it I have something to write about. Now it's just getting rid of the negative thoughts in my head and making it happen. The more I have learned from my studies the less negative thoughts in my head. Thank you for showing me this blog because now I know for sure I'm heading in the right direction.

That is great to hear Stacy. I had similar doubts when I started. Remember the knowledge you have someone will want to know.

You can do this Sarah. One step at a time. It's not a race and everything you need to build a business is in the lessons.
If you do start in the wrong niche for you, there is always the option to start another later when you understand more.

Lily you do Great work and I admire yiour Posts & Shares, but I sumwhat disagree with this one.

I Believe that the biggest Answer of All is PATIENCE!!! Which is probably very few Person's strong suit. Until you learn the process and how to use it, most people will not understand what has to be done to Publish 500 papers on one Subject/Niche. Theoretically there are other ways around that, that will suffice. Think of it this way, what if you were to write a letter to a friend 500 days in a row. Even with multitude of topics available it would be very difficult to keep thier attention. I've got to believe that PATIENCE & RESEACH after you understand the process will help you pick the most valuable Niche for every person. That is my take at this point.

It's great to hear your opinion Ed and I somewhat agree. My patience has been sorely tried on my journey and I do think it is one of the main factors why people give up. We all want it yesterday as that is the way this new world works. But we can't force it in a business.

I actually like doing research and that is a cornerstone of writing interesting posts, 500 of them!
Finding a niche that we like helps but isn't imperative.

Warm Regards,
Lily
