This is a quick guide to get you taking some action in the PPC to CPA technique. It doesn't take a lot to get going but once you do find a winner it can be a real eye opener and a great earner. Some people base their entire business model on the PPC to CPA method.

Just in case you have come across this without really understanding the terminology I'll just cover that very quickly, I am treating this as if you know nothing so please don't be offended with the simple way I am explaining it! :)

PPC

PPC is Pay Per Click, paid traffic on places like Google Adwords, if you want to know more about this then there are loads of tutorials on WA to help you out with that.

CPA

CPA stands for Cost per Action. What the action is depends on the offer you choose. It can range anywhere from filling out a ZIP code to filling in a 6-8 page form, it really varies. It can even be on a sale, but more on these later.

So PPC to CPA is simply the way of paying for traffic to send visitors to the form or ZIP submit you want to promote, but there are some differences between this and the normal way you would promote an affiliate product.

Read on to see what I have found to be the best way to use this method....

Could you explain this in greater detail please?:
"Set up the account as normal and when you are setting up the advert offer you can just use the main URL of the offer page as the display URL (you can find this by viewing the preview on the CPA network e.g UltraTeethWhite.com) and your affiliate url (which you will find inside the campaign) as the actual url and it works just great."
Thanks

Direct linking on GA doesn't work now. And on Bing, you'll have to use the domain of your affiliate URL as the display URL.

And if you are promoting an offer from a CPA network, you'll most probably get an affiliate tracking URL that has a different domain than the actual landing page for the offer. So you can't use that for direct linking.

Hi Phil, I'm searching for the same thing: good training on CPA and how to effectively make money with it. Please let me know if you come across anything here on WA or online. I would greatly appreciate it!

Sorry, Dana: nothing here at WA: this is a place to learn Authoritative blogging only.
CPA is kind of a bad word for WA fellows here.
The best CPA training is from a guy called William. Soluza. It sells for about $ 1,000. Check him out.
Best.

I missed some point: How I still get $30, when they only pay $1.20 for Shipping and Handling?

Nice Alex,
Gotta give some gold for that one. Just wanted to point one thing out though. You Ad Copies. As of October 5th, 2009. Advertisers as well as vendors are liable for "False Advertisements" You are no longer allowed state the "Are Possible Results" you must state the "Usually Happens Results"

For instance if your are promoting a Diet product and it is possible that you could lose 20 pounds in two weeks but the majority lose 4 pounds in 2 months you must state the majority results. Failure to do so could result in you (the advertiser) and the vendor being fined. Aswell as a few other new stipulations implemented by the Federal Trade Commission. You can do some more reading here and follow it the the FTC's website.

Hi BillyMac856. Anyone can use these but you do need to spend a bit of money for the technique I describe so only do it if you are happy with that. But apart from that this is a great way to start earning those first $$$!

Hey guys, are these CPA offers something a newbie can get into? I'd love to be able to start earning a little while I'm still learning and get a little $$ to pay for the tools that are quickly adding up? (hahaha)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx, Billy

Let this be a lesson to Google ''When you start caring MORE about the ''visitors experience'' And NOT the one who is bringing you in the money, following your every rule. There is always someone else that will treat us better ;) GOD bless Yahoo! lolololz

Yeah everyone and their mother is moving to Yahoo marketing. I made the change last month and can tell you ''It feels good when you dont have to deal with all this QLT score shit!'' lolz

And its so much quicker to test your campaigns just spit a bunch of keywords in your ad group, set your bid and that puppy is ready to go!

Good advice on the Google front... they are no where near as tolerant as Yahoo... in fact in some cases they just won't accept the advert if it direct links and you don't own the site.... the only time I use Google is if the CPA offers are part of a full site so there is plenty of good content with it, they don't mind that as you are giving something worthwhile.

I think this is some great info... but one word of advice stay away from Google if you are doing CPA offers.

Seems like Google have been shutting down a lot of accounts based on offers like home biz, and Acai offers.
