Call-To-Action (CTA)
This is the wanted action which you want people to take when they land on your page. But keep in mind that it varies from product to product, and this depends on what your brand is all about and the activity needed to be carried out.
Bear in mind, the importance to have a CTA which is also the same as your offer as it gives people an idea of what they need to do once they land. If you are offering a freebie as your lead magnet for their details, a ‘Get Freebie Now’ CTA on whatever it may be would automatically make them give you the necessary information, which is a win-win and you get to nurture them further.
Social proofs
Another important feature of a good landing page is the sharing of testimonials, success stories, ratings and positive reviews which helps to inform people who land on your page that your brand is reputable and others have gone for your product or service.
Seeing these forms of social proof goes a long way in clearing some doubt which they might have had and help to keep their belief in your brand, seeing that It worked out pretty well for others and would work for them too.
Once this is has been properly done and optimized, your landing page is good to go and on its way to converting massive traffic to leads and giving you the ability to nurture them at the moment and guide them to purchase at some point.
This goes to say that No matter what anyone tells you, there is no special formula to create a high converting landing page. What would work for one site may not work for the other. So you will see have to test your landing page to increase your conversion rate.
With this, you should be prepared for creating landing pages. But before you go off and create your first landing page, however, there are two things you need to keep in mind:
1. Don’t forget the meat – as difficult as it may be, you are going to have to explain the product or service in the table in detail.
2. Split-test everything – never think you have created the best landing page out there. Just as everything else, you will have to run a split-test and follow which converts the best.
