7. Select E-commerce Payment Gateways
Internet Merchant Account is a web account that allows you to get paid online. To make web payments, you need this account. There are a lot of banks that can help set up an Internet Merchant Account for you.
Although, digital payment gateways like Google checkout and PayPal are looming the web market, the easiest and fastest way to purchase online still remains credit cards.
8. Come up with a Marketing Tactic for Your E-commerce Website
Once your site is fully set and active, you need to start driving customers. To achieve this, you must set up a marketing tactic. You also need to set aside a certain budget for advertising and utilize banner PPC, Ads, and Google AdWords.
Optimizing your site for search engines makes it get noticed quickly. Do this and promote your site across social networks. Create lots of content and be consistent at blogging.
I also know, think would be a better word, if your in the states....setting up a sole proprietorship is a must. I'm in CA and have been looking into it. Doesn't seem that difficult and then you can also apply for an EIN (so you don't have to use your social security number). Again, that's just what I've been thinking about doing.
