Very good. This video does not suffer from the "if you don't already know how to do this you won't understand this lesson either" problem that many technical videos suffer from.

Thanks Nathaniell - your training provided a bit of education as well as a little break from some site work I had going on.

Out of curiosity, do you use redirects to clean up Amazon Affiliate links? Just curious.

No, a redirect for an amazon link wouldn't make sense. Also, it's against amazon's TOS to use deceptive linking (redirecting) although as far as I know they are OK with pretty link.

Good training. Another way still - if you use Studiopress/Genesis themes, 301s are built in and you get a field on the post editor where you can fill in the new page url. I've used it and its very easy and no need for a plugin or to create an htaccess file.

Ahhhhh. Jay has this too, but my version of studiopress does not have this. I don't know why. It's updated.

Really? Don't know why this would be. It's called "Custom Redirect URL" under the Theme SEO Settings.

Do you have AIO SEO or Yoast installed? Maybe mine is not there because I have an SEO plugin installed (that makes the themes SEO settings disappear)

Yup, I saw a screenshot and it's part of theme SEO settings. Now I just need to know if I can disable AIO and have Genesis remember various settings. I'll contact Studiopress to find out!

So did it work? Do you have it now. I don't use AIO or Yoast since I use the theme's SEO settings.
