Simple Checkmark Might be Causing all Your Problems

So last month I spent a few hours going back and forth in private messages with a member who was having a hard time with her visual editor...actually it took me an hour to figure out she saw nothing in her visual editor. I thought she just couldn't access the "kitchen sink" which is the button that opens up the second row of options in the visual editor.

Well once I finally figured out that she was just missing her visual editor completely we set to work trying to fix it. The solution in her case was something I was not even aware could happen. (See always learning something new here)

So I would suggest everyone check this first because it is super fast and super simple.

1. Log into your website

2. Access your user profile

To do this you can click on the on your icon in the top right hand corner and then click Edit My profile

You can also click on the "User" option in the side of your dashboard and go to "Your Profile"

3. Look for the Visual Editor Option and make sure IT IS NOT clicked.

If that is checked, uncheck it and all your problems will be solved...

If that is not checked then let's trying something else!

Try Checking the Box (yep I said that) and update your settings. Then go back, uncheck the box and update your settings again. A few threads in the Wordpress Support said this trick worked for them. Apparently it can trick your site into putting it back up. Always worth a shot!
