Advantages and Disadvantages of Google AdSense Alternatives
There are always 2 sides to a coin and this leads us to considering that of opting for Google AdSense
Advantages
- If your blog is your major source of income, you may want to create as many income streams as possible from it. This is why an alternative to Google Adsense would be a good diversification strategy for revenue.
- There are limits to the number of Google ads that can be placed on a blog post or page, leaving room for free space to be used at the discretion of the blog owner. To optimize the use of your blog space, you may need to consider alternative ads or affiliate networks to fill.
- Google AdSense approval process isn't entirely a breeze. You find bloggers waiting for months to scale through the approval process. While for some alternatives, the approval process is quick and easy so you can start earning almost instantly.
- Some alternatives offer low payment thresholds, going as low as $10 before you are considered for pay out.
- Some alternatives focus entirely on niche ads and are more likely to earn you higher click through.
Disadvantages
- Some self-acclaimed ad networks out there are scams. They promise so much yet deliver little or nothing, while Google AdSense is a globally recognized and trusted brand.
- There is never shortage of ads to feature from Google Adsense. The alternatives do not have as much advertisers and so might not have ads to display on your blog at certain times.

Hi Israel,
Excellent tutorial! My blog is not a big one, just about 25 quality posts. I tried Viglink with a horrible outcome years ago. They used links that were not related to my health niche. No worries. That's water under the bridge somewhere in Saturn. Hahahaha!
Seriously, I would like to try Infolinks and/or Blogher dot com. How much traffic do I need to get approval?

This is heaven sent, I am adding this as a favorite tagged post/lesson. Thank you very much Israel as it is time to look into monetization before actually applying them.
So which ad networks allow for concurrent application on a site? And do you know if any of these networks allow for ad placement on lead generation sites?
Happy holidays

Hi Israel
Thanks for this. I have given up waiting for Google AdSense approval so I am trying Media.net
I installed the Media.net Ad manager plugin to WordPress. Do I also need to copy the code into the header and body of my site or does the plugin take care of that? I'm searching for an answer on their FAQ but not found yet.
Thanks and best regards
Andy

I was surprised to not see any Native Ads publishers like Outbrain or Taboola in there but then again, those networks look for 10,000 unique organic visitors a month or better traffic before they will even consider your blog.
