When the 302 Redirect Should be Used and why?
In order to let search engine spiders know that a site or web page has moved to a different one temporarily, a 302 redirect is suitable. You’ll have to consider using this option if you need to redesign or update your site.
You’ll always need to choose the 302 redirect if you’re bringing back an old page or just checking out a new web page.
Having read down the page, you already understood the main purpose for redirecting; sites or web pages are permanently moved using the 301 redirect, while they are only temporarily moved with the 302 redirects.
So, the effect on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) depends on your choice of redirection.
