Don't go overboard with tagging.

It's the same when you write a post, stick to one subject, don't wander off subject and with tagging, every tag should refer to your post.

So if your post is about recipes your tags may be;

easy recipes, quick recipes, recipes for busy people, best recipes, 10 recipes...as long as that is what your post is about.

Look at tags as pointers, they are saying, "Look at me, look at me!"

I wouldn't recommend using more than 5 tags and a minimum of 3 tags.

Here you will see that my post title is on the third line down but this was ranked by my tag; Adrian Morrison. I had another ranked by Free Lunch and a couple of others which I can't find at the moment.

So tag relevantly.
