Do not create a child theme, when making certain changes

When installing your website in Wordpress for the first time you will have to choose a template or theme that you like.

Very well you have found a new theme, you have installed it and it works well. After a while you realize that you want to make some changes that are not possible. How to do them?

Creating what are called "child theme".

What is a child theme?

It is he who inherits the basic functionalities of the main theme or parent theme. It allows to improve, modify and expand them.

Features may be adding additional thumbnails and sizes in posts, adding widgets and new styles, etc.

A child theme is not updated, it is not overwritten. In this tutorial I will not teach you to create a child theme, I just want you to know what it is and what it is for.

Also working with wordpress there are plugins that can have these features sought. The themes also have the so-called customization, allows us to make some changes using CSS code.
