As you likely already know, when you publish a blog post or page on your new website, sharing to a social media website such as Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon and more can help with both SEO and possible website visitors just from these social platforms alone. Also, if you use an image within your social post, your chances of a click-through (someone clicking on the link to your website from your social sharing post) are greatly enhanced when you include an image.
Of course, you could add an image manually from your hard drive. But, that's very inconvenient.
When I first began sharing posts to Facebook, Twitter and other social platforms - even with All-in-One OR Yoast, I typically didn't see an image being shared. It was either a silhouette such as this:
OR
It would simply be the title and text with no image at all, which is even worse.
So, as you can see, this initially doesn't look very professional and definitely is not going to be full use of our resources. It doesn't draw people in and won't get many clicks after posting to the social networks.
But, what I'm about to show you requires a bit of tweak within the All-In-One SEO features....
You'll need to enable the Social Meta feature from within the All-in-One Settings as shown below..... I also recommend turning on the XML Sitemap if you haven't done so. This will create the sitemap needed for Google Webmaster Tools.
So, within the next page, I'll show you how I was able to resolve this wee social image sharing issue with All In One SEO now that it's configured to do so.....
