Tip Number Three
It's true - top time wasters work against you!
When we get feedback on a website, you need to remember two important things.
- it's feedback from one person
- it's feedback from their perspective and experience on your website
Why this matters?
Let's say I am giving the feedback on a website...
- I may like green and hate blue.
- I might think you should delete the post - it doesn't work for your niche
- I may like the font smaller or bigger
- I may hate your website theme
- I am new and everything looks fine
- or I am more advanced and there are a ton of things not on the website
All of the above will influence what feedback I give. And that is EXACTLY what you are wanting to know. The user experience.
What you need to ask yourself...
- Decide how important it sounds
You could type your question in the search - "How important is adding alt text to pictures?" And then go from there.
No answer? Use the Live Chat or Post the Question.
- Will this come up in future training's?
Not sure - ask the person giving feedback.
You can spend A LOT of TIME looking for training on things that Kyle will cover in time.
In my case it was the very next lesson! But I wasted a whole afternoon fiddling and looking...
- What if I like it how it is?
Don't agree with the person? Get more feedback on your web page or general feedback. When you receive it, reach out to them and ask - "Hey, what did you think about the blue button - should I change it to red?"
WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT DO...
- Hit the delete button
- Spend the next week looking for a theme for your website
- Get upset and discouraged and stop working on your site
- Get distracted on how to make your font size bigger when your website is new and only has a few posts and pages
What would be better?
Add the things to your To Do List and work on them as time permits, or schedule it in as part of your training.

This will help me with ideas for my to do list. My biggest concern is that i procrastinate to much and I am not secure with my content creation. I think site feedback will give actionable items to keep me motivated and create the to do list, i have still not set up in one place.
Currently I have to do lists, everywhere. I purchased a bullit journal, so I can get organized and have all my to do lists, action items and plans for my website post ideas.
