How to setup your Google translate English to Spanish shows that it is very easy to create a multilingual site, it is my opinion that if you care about reaching people from other cultures and languages that's going to be profitable for you, and your readers.
With this software you can not only translate English to Spanish, but also translate Spanish to English.
The language of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra is the 2nd most spoken in the world, after Mandarin, which is the first with about 955 and 405 million speakers respectively, follows in that order the English language with 360 million, (14, 4% - 6.5% -5.43% of the world total).
If the Spanish language is the second most spoken, and the Latino community in the U.S. is becoming increasingly important and powerful as showed the last two Census and Presidential elections, then Spanish is a need for the future of our sites.
We cannot ignore the impact that the Latino community is having on economic, social, cultural and political spheres. It is not my purpose to discourse on this subject in general, but I want to draw attention to the detail of the language. I've seen many websites and I remember seeing a few, but very few concerned with translating their content into other languages, including Spanish.
Why not throw a hand to those Hispanic residents in the U.S. and outside its borders translating our contents and putting them at your fingertips. We are many Latinos who handle the language of Shakespeare and have access to the great cultural, scientific and technological wealth that is treasured in such a powerful language. However there are millions of Spanish speakers who do not speak or write English and would be an audience to bear in mind for us, or not?
It can likewisetranslate english to mandarin and besidestranslate Mandarin to English. That is why I decided to post this short tutorial.
Mandarin as we could see in the figures shown is the most spoken language in the world, as it is the official language of China and this country covers a fifth of the world population. It is the third most spoken language after French in Canada.
Why not use technology in order to communicate with that part of the world that is gaining each day more relevance in all fields? What do you think about Google Translator?
Thanks, Michael
