UPDATED VIDEO HERE https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/send-receive-domain-email-via-gmail-updated-2015

Many people prefer to use one email account to manage all emails and that's exactly what I want to try help you achieve.

I personally use Gmail to manage several email accounts and in this tutorial I'm going to show you how to setup your Gmail account to download/receive and send your domain email, all right from inside your Gmail account.

All of a sudden I cannot send emails from my domain accounts via Gmail to people who have Microsoft accounts (Hotmail/ live/ outlook)? I have been able to send them fine up until now and I can send emails to yahoo or Gmail as well. Does anyone have any ideas?

I am sorry that I may not be of much help but, the only thing I can think of is to contact site support. I had an issue when I forwarded my domain email to GMAIL and the forwarding email I chose for some reason, I couldn't send any emails at all.

So, the way, I fixed it was I just did the entire process all over from scratch and created a new forwarding email address. After doing the process the second time everything worked so, I just left it as is for now.

But, I understand you may not want to change your forwarding email address, as It can be a hassle. so, the only solution that I can think of is to contact site support for further help. They should know what the issues is, anyway I hope it gets resolved soon, I know how frustrating this situation is.

I have more than one domain account and they are all experiencing issues, I have contacted site support and they have said there is an issue.

Hopefully it'll get fixed soon.

Great instructions but I'm at the part where you add your username, Password, and POP server. I received a "Server denied POP3 access for the given username and password" message. I used the info from SMTP settings so not sure what the problem is, except I noticed in the video the instructor's username was the same as his email address and mine is not. Any recommendations?

I suggest trying again slowly, making sure to copy and paste, rather than re-typing the data. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I always copy & paste when possible... really dislike retyping text lol. Although some sites won't allow this. I tried both ways with no success. I really appreciate you chiming you!

Hi Welshy, maybe you can update this post to state that you now have an updated tutorial how to setup your domain email via Gmail? And thanks for that tutorial too!

When I go into SiteRubix and click the 'email' tab at the top, this message is displayed just under "My Email Addresses" -

Email addresses organized by domain. SMTP settings allow for integration with Gmail, Outlook, iPhone or any other mail client.

So, surely this means that setting up on the iphone is simply a case of clicking on "SMTP Settings" and using all that info to set it up...? Yet it doesn't work for me..... :/

It's really inconvenient not being able to have my mail on my iphone. Have WA set it up like this on purpose...?

Not a happy bunny :(

Not sure why you can't receive emails on your iphone. When you setup your email information, it asks for your Yahoo information. A second account for me is Gmail and I did the same. I can receive everything on my phone. Oh and I never check my WA email but I have it forwarded to Dmail so I am covered all the way around.

I have other site's emails (that aren't through WA) and I just have them all listed on my iphone. I want my WA site emails to do the same. I was wanting to do it all without the forwarding option because originally, I wasn't able to reply from a forwarded email to have it showing as from "me@mydomain.com". I've recently seen though where Welshy has a new video showing how to set up the forwarding where I can also reply to emails as if 'from' my WA account. I'm going to try that when I get a chance.

Thanks for your reply :)

Right. You can send and receive everything from your phone. Because of that, I only have to open Yahoo and Gmail. Let us know, if you need help!

Hi, I'm told WA disabled something so sending emails from Gmail will no longer work, but you can still receive emails.
I'm going to see if this is a permanent thing if so I'll disable this video.

Authentication failed. Please check your username/password.
[Server response: Unspecified Error (SENT_EHLO): Smtp server does not advertise AUTH capability code(0) ]

Can anyone help me out here? Is this a gmail or WA issue?

Pleae double check you selected port 25.

When I put my password for port 110 it says Server denied POP3 access for the given username and password., I double checked my domain name, the password and it is correct, why isn't working?

This might be the explanation:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/mark-tait/blog/issues-setting-up-new-outgoing-emails-in-gmail-through-wa-domains

Your best bet is to set up a forward to gmail and follow Kyle's tutorial here:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/mark-tait/blog/issues-setting-up-new-outgoing-emails-in-gmail-through-wa-domains

You don't need an Atmail account at WA to do this.

Someone should submit a ticket to hosting support and ask if something has changed. I don't have any domains pointing to wa hosting so I can't test anymore.
If you use the forwarding option you can not reply as you@your-domain

what if I used the WA redirect email option?, how do I configure Gmail to send emails as my website domain?
Reply
wendyjane Premium
Actually you can make it show as your domain within gmail. Just go to your settings ---> accounts and import ---> send mail as ---- > you'll be able to add any email addresses you own to the list there.

Now when you send an email within gmail, you'll have the option to reply as any address you have created within that list.

Hi Wendy, I tried it but on the next step it asks for my email password. I cant see my webmail password because I set a redirect here on WA. Is there another way?

Sorry I was outdated in my advice. Further investigation reveals as of a few weeks ago you are no longer allowed to do this! I set mine up awhile ago, so it worked back then and still works for the ones I set up previously, but it isn't letting me set up new ones anymore because I run into the same issues.

Read this:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/mark-tait/blog/issues-setting-up-new-outgoing-emails-in-gmail-through-wa-domains

Obviously you can still use the forward feature but you won't have the option to reply as yourdomain.com. You can either use the email client provided here (which I personally don't like) or use his alternative method... creating a new gmail account yourdomain@gmail.com, then setting the reply email to mail@yourdomain.com .... good idea but obviously not ideal. :/

I, too, am getting the following error when trying to set up my outgoing mail address.

Authentication failed. Please check your username/password.
[Server response: Remote server does not support TLS code(500) ]

Seems I'm not alone. Is there a solution? Thanks.

I am not a tech person but I know that Google doesn't always support TLS and SSL. Google does REQUIRE TLS and SSL though. What Port number do you see? I am going to give this a try...fingers crossed!

I couldn't complete the procedure. I get the to the Send mail through your SMTP server page.

SMTP: mail.<mydomain.com>
Port: 25
Username: <myusername>@<mydomain.com>
Secured connection using TLS ticked

Clicked Add Account...

Error: Authentication failed. Please check your username/password.
[Server response: Remote server does not support TLS code(500) ]

Does anyone know the answer?

Server denied POP3 access for the given username and password.
Server returned error: "Unable to process the account info."

does this mean that I cannot access my domain email remotely?
Reply

I would guess that you did something wrong as I have used this training for 4 of my domain emails and it works perfectly. Be sure that your domain email isn't a forwarded email, and that you follow the instructions exactly.

Pause the vid for executing each process. Take it step by step. It will work. -RDub

Craig;

I successfully set up two accounts that are in theory supposed to come directly from my website to my gmail address.

I know I set them up right, because I got a "Confirmation Success" window for both of them after I finished the setup process.

The problem now is that they're not working. Comments from my websites are still going to my old email address.

Are there other settings within the Gmail Settings Box I need to pay attention to?
Reply
autumn56 Premium
the comments are set up to notify the users and admin depending on the post. if someone emails your domain email it should forward to your gmail account but the wordpress notifications will still go to the emails attached to like your admin at least thats what I have noticed.
Reply
Andrija Premium
Yes, I checked both accounts I set up. Both read "port 25 using TLS".
Reply
autumn56 Premium
what im saying is that comment notifications from your site arent connected to your domain specific email address which is what you are forwarding
Reply
BigDubbayew Premium
I would suggest just setting up your comments to go to your gmail account. Problem solved? You don't have to worry about replying to comments via email so no biggie right?

I've just finished setting up my Domain Email Accounts, both for sending and receiving. Everything looked good; I got my verification number for all accounts, pasted those in, etc, and got back the "Confirmation Success" windows. So everything seemed fine.

Then I tried replying to some of my emails from one of the newly set up accounts. My replies came back to me with this message attached:

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

wordpress@amazingvegetarianrecipes.com

Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the relay mail.amazingvegetarianrecipes.com by mail.amazingvegetarianrecipes.com. [50.19.223.37].

The error that the other server returned was:
535 auth failure (SMTP AUTH failed with the remote server)

What does this mean and how do I fix it?
Reply
judebanks Premium
Do you have a Google Apps account? I've heard of this happening when the password has been changed since that account was open, and it then does not authenticate properly.

If you have a Google Apps account, go into Settings/Accounts, remove the email address used for sending, and add it in again.

If this is not fix the issue, 535 usually means an error in the username and or password, so recheck your SMTP settings to make sure your
settings are correct, no extra spaces or letters, etc.

If you have a Port number added, you can also try it by leaving the Port number field blank.

That's all I can think of at the moment. Let us know how it goes.

The domain emails are going to my old email account only. I'm getting nothing in the way of a copy of that email in my gmail inbox.
Reply
judebanks Premium
Are you still getting the 535 authentication failure message? If not, have you checked your junk/spam folder to see if the messages ended up there? ~ Jude
Reply
Andrija Premium
Now it's telling me my sent messages are being delayed in sending.

I just checked my junk folder, and I had a bunch of old emails that had come over from my old email address. Nothing new, though. I suppose I'll just have to wait and see until a new message comes through, and keep checking my junk folder to make sure anything new hasn't ended up there.

Thank you for checking back!

Hi, It's hard to help because I haven't had any problems like this, but I only use WA hosting/email for tutorials.

I'm sure you've double checked your settings already.
Have you tried to send email to different email addresses other than what you've had trouble with?
Can you send an email from you@yourdomain to your gmail address?
Reply
welshy Premium
When you check your setting, for "Send As" do you see port 25 and TLS as seen here: http://take.ms/FW5Nr
