All of a sudden I cannot send emails from my domain accounts via Gmail to people who have Microsoft accounts (Hotmail/ live/ outlook)? I have been able to send them fine up until now and I can send emails to yahoo or Gmail as well. Does anyone have any ideas?

It might be an issue on your recievers end..microsoft was having some issues a few days back i had to go and reset my microsoft password..
So it might not be an issue on ur end ..i would give it a few days if you still cant send a message to support and see what they say

All my other accounts are ok, I can send emails fine between my Gmail, yahoo and Hotmail accounts. It is only when I try and send an email from my domain accounts to any microsoft accounts that they bounce back.

It is just getting very difficult because I email a lot of microsoft accounts from my domain.

I keep getting "couldn't reach server" error message. I also tried to send a test email just to make sure I was getting email in Atmail, and nothing is coming through. I had previously had this as a Forward then deleted and tried again, did I screw up by doing that?

Thank you! I had seen this one; I actually just re-setup the email forwarding. At some point I'll likely just pay for the gmail business email account because other than forwarding, I can't link the email to gmail. I keep getting errors. I've tried updating Java, using other browsers, no luck. No worries. Thanks again.

You can postpone this and avoid paying extra. Consider just using a regular gmail account for now and when the site is doing well, then upgrading is need be.

i can't find port 25 as an option in gmail... options start at port 109 and have a few options up to 2000 but not many

Ey there Craig, I'm getting..."Server denied POP3 access for the given username and password. Server returned error: "Login failed.""

I've checked everything over and over and I still get this error message... any ideas my friend?

I did an email forward before watching this vid.I was receiving mail at Gmail account. I then followed all the steps to set up and send mail as my domain but a stuck as I am not receiving the confirmation e.mail from Gmail ? any suggestions

Hey welshy, I had my email set up as a forward to my personal gmail account. I have already received one mail through this (from Kyle's video). Then yesterday I tried to register on Gravatar but didn't receive a confirmation email. Today I created a new gmail account and connected my domain email to it according to your instructions. Everything went fine until confirmation email. My domain inbox is still empty and I can't confirm it because I didn't get confirmation email. can you help?

This was working for me beautifully for quite some time, then just recently (last 2 weeks of March 2016) somehow unscrupulous others started stealing/using my domain url as their email and sending viruses - in my opinion - STAY AWAY.

I deleted the emails in Gmail !

I found out that there's an error when I use Capitals in my email account.
I tried: michael@WealthyWebPeople.com - ERROR
michael@wealthywebpeople.com - OK
I don't know why, bit this worked!

In general, domain names and email addresses are not case sensitive but they are assumed to be all lower case.

Occasionally the use of upper case does provoke a negative response. One of my websites tries to download as a zip file if I use capitals.

There is no predictable response to upper case, only that it can be problematic. It shouldn't be, but it is.

@welshy I think something is wrong. When I enter port 25 it does not allow me to continue. It says it is not possible to connect with the server, but if I leave port 587 it allows me to continue. This looks great but I already sent a couple of mails and they are not delivered. I receive mails without any trouble but i can't send them. Do someone know what is wrong?

We have all had this issue. I hate it. I have 4 domains and 3 of them come in from yahoo. Other than setting up rather complicated rules and separate inboxes for each of them, you just have to deal with it. I wish something could be done about it and that's why I monitor these threads.

Thank you very much! I have been trying to setup my e-mail in Outlook 2010 and it has not worked. Site support has been sending me instructions that don't work either so I am very glad to have this work around! It will make it lots easier to access my e-mail from my portable devices also. That is a rather good idea. Only problem is that if the creator is no longer a WA member. The communication would stop there.

Maybe, we as a community could simply make a post in that thread (which would show at the top of the thread) that says "outdated".

Another thing I think would be helpful is having a date that shows up next to each item that shows up in the pop up search. You know, the one that shows up as you start to type in the search bar above.

I had so much difficulty, this really helped. Thank you for making this.

If anyone else had problems like me, and kept getting errors despite following this awesome tutorial. Please try typing the details like the username and passwords manually. In my personal experience during the process of copy and pasting the information somehow translated to a space in the front causing the errors.

So glad I can send and receive via my gmail now. Goodluck everyone!

Thank you very much. this makes things so much simpler. I completely agree with you that the format/layout in @mail really leaves something to be desired. Since I was able to do this, I was also able to set this up in my Outlook, which makes it even easier since there are so many options and features available.

I am using Outlook. I deleted the forward and then recreated the account, but the problem I am having is that all my mail is still being forwarded as before? Anyone else having this problem?

Hiya Katie.

I have sent a support ticket.

I have multiple accounts set up in Outlook. My issue seems to be that I originally had my WA emails forwarded to my Hotmail account. In order to receive directly to Outlook I had to delete the email to cancel the forward, recreate the email and then configure it manually with the settings provided at WA.

Unfortunately it is still being forwarded. The work-around I have is to set up a rule in Outlook to move them to my other account. A bit clunky but it works.

I'll wait to see what response I get from Support.

Hi PapaGrizz! I empathize with your frustration, as I'm too still having problems. I managed to get it set up with gmail by following the below, but the workability is spasmodic. Some are seriously delayed, and a lot of the what I send bounces back. I'm still at a bit of a loss, so unfortunately I don't have any pearls of wisdom. If you find a solution, please let me know! :)

I initially had a ton of issues trying to complete this process 'login failed' on gmail. After multiple chats with support, finally discovered that I couldn't set this up while I had email forward on. Had to delete my email accounts, then reset up to remove the forward, then it works! So simple, but created hours of frustration. Sharing in case anyone else needs the info :)

Craig, as always your training is very thorough. However, when I go to my SMTP settings, I can only bring up my outgoing mail settings, it doesn't offer the option to view my incoming mail settings. Have I done something wrong?

hmmm.... now I am facing this...

There was a problem connecting to http://mail.divingrivieramaya.com
Server returned error: "Connection refused"

I tried 2 emails from this domain same issue
(connecting to the mails via webmail is working)

other domain worked so far...

Awesome, I have been struggling so much to find a way to handle all this created emails...!!! and as usual the resolution would have been soooo easy...

Although I was sure I would definitely find an answer here in WA but to get the right answer you need the right question!

Searching is also a skill at the end....hehehe but here we go...

Hi, I'm not sure if you were able to get this to work. I see that you posted about three months ago. The same thing was happening to me until I discovered that when pasting in the username, it always adds a space before your pasted username. I had to delete the space to get it to accept it. Good luck!

Sorry I'm a doof about this but I ran into another problem.
I get to "add a mail account you own" and put in correct user name, password from SMTP incoming mail settings. Also, leave POP Server to mail.mydomain.com, left pot at 110 but I get Server denied POP3 access for the given username and password.
I can send email through gmail with domain label but just can't receive email from domain to gmail. Any ideas? I've checked password and user name a gazillion times.

LOL yes, it's confusing. Basically, I followed welshy's instructions but I can't get received email to my domain email through gmail. I can send ok but all received email goes into WA email only. is that clearer?

Hey lovely, I think I just figured out the problem!!! So when I would copy and past my url as my host name and my password in from the SMTP settings in the email section of WA, it seems to add a space at the beginning. And so it is saying that it is an incorrect username cause they don't allow spaces in the username, and the password is incorrect because there is an extra character - the space - in there. I typed the password in manually and checked for the space in the host name and deleted it, and it worked!!! Let me know if you try and how you get on. xx
