So after all this what did I do? I listened to about 1.5 hours of his 'live' workshop and made notes. Now unlike what you learn here, he tends to move a lot of air without saying, in my humble opinion, anything meaningful.

But this isn't about him, it's about having fun with research and now I will gather my notes and start writing.

When doing reviews about anyone or anything you must be unbiased and give a fair review based on your opinion obviously.

After much work and tweaking I put this up on my site. Now I am ready for my next job.

If you are finding research arduous, like I said earlier, you are researching the wrong things it's as easy as that. Research things that inspire you. Your heart should sing, you should do a happy dance when you find some new snippet and heck what about the low hanging fruit?
