Welcome WA Buddies!
If you were like me when I started Internet marketing 4 years ago, I felt very frustrated about snapshots that didn't agree with what I was doing at the time.
When you piece together the basics of Internet marketing, articles, and you see how articles fit into blogs, websites...or say...even your own self-hosted WordPress at WA, you learn to follow the pictures while conducting some of your own research. This is important so you're not dependent on any one resource.
At the time of this writing, even if you go into the forums and you discover... no answers are appearing..., there are a few reasons for this result:
1) Tools are evolving at WA
2) It's important that membersadd input on anything, big or small...
because many heads are better than one...,
3) You want to head to Kyle & Carson in the forums to ask them what's happening with a specific tool...,
Please be patient. They're doing everything possible to increase support.
4) Since July 2010, the WA servers have been upgraded to give you less lag time and more flexibility.
For this reason, they've had more to work with... and they've seen the need to change tools doing more for you. This keeps WA ahead or or aligned with their best competitors.
Using Rapid Writer
For every tool you use inside or outside of WA, there's experimentation involved to see how tools can work. I've had problems with Rapid Writer. I won't deny this fact.
Ask buddies if they've had success. If you're getting more who haven't, there's change coming with the tool.
How To Use Rapid Writer -- 2 Uses:
1) Content For Public Consumption
Articles are based on keyword research by pulling in 1 - 5 keyword phrases not hitting major competition online.
If this part stumps you, still play with the tool.
- My use depends on the kind of content I'm publishing
- If I'm writing content that will be monetized under in some unforeseen way at a future date, I don't use the writer
If You're Going Out On the Net
Use the writer --
- When you first start writing, pull in content that is already here at WA
- Even if it's a snippit or two, your interest at this point is in seeing how the tool works as is
- If you're totally stumped, go back to tutorials
- If you don't see what you need, list the need in tutorials so we can specifically address your Q.
EXAMPLE: Weight Loss
As an Internet marketer, you develop many workarounds when some tools work or not. The important thing to do is to keep your work going, even if it feels a bit foggy. It's by doing that you really learn and tools aren't the magic. It's you.
1) Pull in various research methods (free ones) to workaround a temporary challenge.
There's major content published inside of WA available for your use.
Find something that catches your eye and pull it into the writer -- nevermind whether or not it's complete.
You're just after the writer to see how it duplicates.
As of today, Strip That Fat is being revamped so pull in content from anything here as a test. Start an intro..., add a small tidbit of interesting but helpful information, then cut/paste into the rapid writer editor.
No matter what you're writing about...let's just say that it is exercise, diet and weight loss, keywords are always related to products/services (by brand name) that people buy in any niche.
If you're really serious about optimzing your articles for starters, pull in 1 keyword phrase for your 1st attempt.
There's the need for your mind to tell you, "Well...I want all of the answers now". There are millions of keyword phrases. Just pick one related to a smaller niche (working moms in menopause having low thyroid). This is only an example.
At the beginning of your article, pull the keyword phrase, then bring it into the middle, and add it at the end of your article. You've just optimized your first article. You can do this without the tool.
You can research products people purchase at Amazon.com to see what they are buying for keyword phrase ideas. Pull in author names, pull in brand names, add titles of books people buy. Then use your best keyword phrase. You have to test 3 - 5 keywords to find the golden one that has relatively low competition (less than 50,000 competing websites on that keyword phrase, 1,000 in monthly traffic).
Place those keywords into the writer. If you're lost in terms of keyword density (because you're getting confusing results), just start writing and use the tool for duplications.
If you're really confused, don't get lost in optimization right now because uniqueness of content is what gets Google's attention most. In time, as you write more, you will start to see how your campaign divides into discrete marketing segments. Study a lot of websites here at WA and outside of WA to find solid examples.
If you can't get the writer to work at all, head over to ezine articles and click on fitness (for example). Look for the top 5 articles that are most popular. This will tell you how you can talk to your niche audience.
If that fails, head online and pick the top marketers ...say...in fitness to read their blogs and their articles...or scan their websites.Richard Rigor is one of them. If you're working another niche, just run through this exercise to see what I'm saying. This will show you precisely how marketers are writing their messages. Remember...articles are basically ad messages that offer rich, helpful content consumers can use today.
Then..once you find your content...,
Cutting/Pasting Starter Content
- Cut/paste starter content into the writer and hit save
- Hit duplicate 5 ways
- If duplicate is not working, there's an update most likely forming with the tool or the servers may be overloaded
- Check back later and retry your steps
- If the tool doesn't work after several attempts, hand write and submit to ezines
- Don't make this process tough -- it's not
- Pull in your common sense and play the part of the person who has a weight problem
- Ask yourself -- if I were person A looking to lose "belly fat", what would I search for?
Keyword -- "lose belly fat in 3 weeks".
Store Original Content On Your Hard-Drive
- Store your own original content on your hard-drive before you publish to a blog, a website, or inside of your autoresponder (A-Weber or GetResponse)
- Use notepad always as your 1st course of action
- If you use Word Doc, anytime you cut/paste words from your computer into an article directory, you'll get a mess on your hands.
- Cut/paste content from notepad into rapid writer, if this is content that is not going to be monetized right away.
Sensitive Content Not For Public Consumption
Remember -- you're building content on the WA membership site so anything you want to secure for your own personal coaching program or product creation in the near future may not be content you want to put into the writer.
The admin's of WA can tell you whether or not your content becomes a larger part of their database. I assume they do so there is an important distinction. People who write ad copy for a living don't always use everything offered inside of a membership site for proprietary reasons alone.
Pick and choose what you need most.

I really appreciate you trying to shore up support for the tool, but I have no idea what you were even saying. This is not meant as an insult; it just means if I have to bring it in, but it doesn't work and then I have to do it manually, I'd just as soon start with manual. I can write an article in 15 minutes and do a re-write in 5, ready for submission. I know Kyle and Carson work hard on this stuff, but if it doesn't work they should just pull it and focus on helping people do their own write ups and re-writes. Teach the theory instead of tools. Once you have theory you can chose to use or not use tools.

Are you saying above in quotes that if I use Rapid Writer or any other location with WA to create a campaign WA has proprietary rights to my content as a user?
With that in mind, your suggestions do not make so much sense, as we never knew how to use it to begin with. See what I mean? If I knew how to use it, those suggestions would be a big help.
I have just figured it is one of the tools they are working on and a magic new version will show up sometime this year, with better directions and a video that has sound so the people we refer that are paying $97 will have a useful tool they can use and not have to go out and pay for another one!
From what I can see in the forum, they are working on KW tools next. And put one Google Competition thing in already.
